As an alternative you can try asking questions in Canadian. How's that for a solution, eh. :)

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

I just downloaded the all in one package and installed for the first time. So, I have the latest of everything (in theory). I have some problems and have searched through this thread.

First, my mic isn't working, do we still have to start a call before starting haret? Is that everytime or just once?

And, basically no sounds work. If I go into the ringtones area and try to touch ringtones at all, it hangs and the program crashes. Same thing for music, it hangs and crashes. Incomign call has no ringer right now.

Any of the voice command things, like voice search also crash.

BTW, on my initial setup, my wifi was working, but data wasn't. Once it finished its setup, I did the fix for the data connection (Spring) and it works now, and wifi doesn't (says it can't start). Is there some conflict to having them both working?

Have you used any other builds? Doesn't sound like it...

Are you using a RAPH800? If so, the build from the first post should work flawlessly... Try getting the updated stuff from XDA. Otherwise you'll just have to wait for a new AIO.

First off, AWESOME jobs guys! This thing is just amazing. I played with the older version a long time ago, and decided to check out the progress yesterday, and actually was able to just get it running with minimal effort using the release from yesterday. I was finally able to get data working, and at first the Market kept saying it couldn't connect to the server. That magically went away on it's own, but now all I get when trying to install an app is "Starting Download." I have tried searching this thread, but everything I found was from may or earlier, and I thought those solutions would have been rolled into yesterday's release. Plus I never saw any definitive answer on how they fixed it.

Does anyone have suggestion on how to go about correcting this? I have tried several reboots to no avail. Also, does anyone else have issues with the keyboard on the Raph800 not working at times until a reboot? I know these phones are notorious for keyboard issues, but I'd like to know if it could be an xdandroid issue, before I go the hardware route.

Thanks for all the hard work everyone!

I never (or at least rarely) place a call, I'm using the autobooter. The mic seems to work fine in calls.

I have never tried voice recorders, etc. Dunno if that works, I don't think it does on rhodium so I'm not sure I'd expect it to here.

On my TP running a slightly-older build (day or so before the AIO) all this is working. Might be an issue with a setting somewhere? Do you have anything interesting going on in WM, maybe some ringtone program that might be changing the audio settings?

Here also. If I read XDA correctly this is not only known but is fixed in the most recent build there.

No help there, sorry.

Good luck, Android is wicked cool when running. It is everything WM should have been but didn't have the hardware (and, apparently, software) to do.

Try deleting your data.img and booting again, it solved my market issues (albeit they were different from yours...)

Also maybe try downloading the app via wifi, see if it makes a difference. As far as the keyboard, it's always worked better than WinMo for me. I have had some issues with a line in the startup that gets cleared out and hoses up some of the special characters, but the keys have always worked.

Thanks! Wouldn't you know it, I checked it just before typing this reply, and now it magically works!

Just so I know for the future, what is the data.img file used for? Does allowing the boot process to recreate this file cause me to loose all my settings and what not?

Here is a cool overclock txt startup file I found, this one is for touch pro sprint and for the latest build!
Only for touch pro, copy the startup.txt to the andboot folder and then run haret,
for other users after set cmdline,
add:
set cmdline "acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=700000
and put a space,
so mine looks like this:
set cmdline "acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=700000 lcd.density=210 msmvkeyb_toggle=off physkeyboard=raph board-htcraphael-navi.wake=0 gsensor_axis=2,-1,3 acpuclock.force_turbo=1"

For touch pro users who are lazy, lol, like me, download the file and follow the steps
you can even change the values to be lower or higher, just not too high, might blow up, lol

Okay, so this didn't actually solve anything. It appears that I still randomly get locks...but mostly none at all.

Did you make your gps.conf changes in such a way that they wouldn't get overwritten by reboot?

if market is working, it's working. delete data.img and try again (data.img basically holds the system. all your settings, everything thats installed, pretty much everything. deleting is like doing a hard-reset in winmo.). no issues with kb. do you have issues in winmo with your kb?

shouldn't need to use the mic prior to loading haret. haven't heard of anyone with issues like this in some time now. are you running a touch pro and not a touch pro 2? it sounds alot like the issues tp2's are still dealing with (sound issues). it takes a minute for data to kick in. on the tp1 sound works. make sure everything is updated. newest rootfs, zimage, and init. voice search is sketchy. i used it a couple of times but it lagged really bad.
