Still having trouble with my Menu (Back) button

I've added board-htcraphael-navi.alt_keymap=1 and board-htcraphael-navi.alt_keypad=1 to my startup with no luck.

I love Android, but the lack of menu is a serious hamper. All help is appreciated.

To clarify, Back is Back (top right). Home is Menu (top left). I'm not sure alt_keymap ever actually worked. What's the issue you're having?

Keymap usedto work - about a month ago last if I remember correctly. My issue is that only the power (Home) button works, non of the others do. My Call and End don't work in WinMo, but home and Back do . I just need a way to access the 'Menu' function, especially now that you need to set up the APN. Thanks.

Sounds like a hardware issue... why are certain buttons not working in WinMo?

I was having the same problems with the back key an home key but I think its all fixed with the newest builds an stuff but I dont understand why the external speaker plays well with media but not with the speakerphone other then that things are a lot better...is there a way to overclock more RAM instead of the CPU? Would that speed things up???

Maybe the initrd got corrupted on compress/upload. Has anyone downloaded it from the link in the first post and had it work?

The package you created isn't corrupted.

Just downloaded 5 minutes ago.

Freshly formatted sd

Copied over andboot directory from your dist.

Copied startup.txt from raph800 dir to andboot dir

Ran haret.exe

Boots no problem, creates new data.img, calibrates screen, goes to setup wizard, tap on android to begin, skip google account.

menu->settings->wireless&networks->mobilenetworks->accesspointnames

menu->newapn

Name=Android
APN=internet

menu->save

Select Android as default.

Exit, Exit, Exit, Exit

Wait 10 seconds, 3g status shows up, data connection running.

Start browser, Google search page come up.

there were a few builds where the hardware buttons (home, back, call, end) would stop working. this was fixed in newer builds.

I downloaded 6-13 package and overwrited 6-12 package on the SD card. Everything works fine, including CDMA data.

I don't know... Did you do anything to the startup? Try formatting the SD and copying a fresh build - don't copy anything from any previous builds. Also, make sure you're downloading the build from this page - otherwise the startup.txt file may be wrong. Are you running a RAPH500? I don't know if those use the same startup as the 800's or not...

they do NOT, for sure, and they're clearly labeled in the startup folder if the asker is using the all-in-one from the first post.

Good to know. I would hope Mr. "HotSauce" is using the AIO from the first post...

Post your startup.txt

I have a RAPH800 and I'm using the startup.txt from the STARTUP CONFIG->RAPH800 folder.

It's weird because it booted up before fine, but now it just freezes.
