If your phone wasnt working correctly you should have taken it into the sprint store and had them look at it. If your phone was malfunctioning, they would replace it for free (lest your 7 dollar insurance/replacement premium). If you were unable to make it to the store or you were too far away from one, you could have done an advance exchange online or go through tech support again for free.

OP you mean to tell me you had a manufacturer defect and you didn't think to take it to the sprint store first? What do you think you pay $7 for? and that way you don't have to scam anybody.
