I'm happy with the Touch Pro 2 but unless you can get a substantial discount on the device it's not worth paying the full price. Yes you'd be happier with the TP2 it has the larger screen, nicer keyboard, better speaker phone support, but personally I don't think it's worth paying the full $500 asking price if you're still in contract. After all internally it's essentially the same hardware. If HTC upgraded the processor and RAM I wouldn't have any hesitation recommending it. That said, if Asurion wouldn't have upgraded me from my Touch Pro I'd still be using it until my contract expired.

I love it so much more than the TP1. I dont have to have a microscope to see the screen and it just seems to run a whole lot better even though the hardware is about the same. It also doesnt heat up burning your hand off while tethering which is nice. Plus my TP usb port broke so I got my TP2 for free

No. It doesn't have a DPad, Flash for Camera, or a capacitive controlling surface.
