Re: Is TP2 that MUCH better than TP?

my tp2 has better battery life for sure. i get all day and nite and in to the next day if im only talkin a lil, textin, and minimal web. my email does update every 10 min, and i check twitter about 3 times an hour. still lasts allday and all nite. on my tp 1 with the same usage i got about 8 hrs. it would usually die on the way home from work after a full charge in the morning. custom rom on the tp. im back to stock on my tp2.

TP2= Better battery life, a stable keyboard "so far LOL", Bigger screen, better volume, Tilt, all around the phone just feels better. You barely need to tweak the phone with stock rom also. I use to flash my TP1 all the time, No need to flash at this point with TP2.

The battery life is worlds better from my experience too.

On the TP1 I could not go over 24 hours without recharging even if I made practically no calls. With the TP2 I have been on for 48 hours with still all four battery bars. No real phone calls to speak of, but websurfing and what not.

The only thing I miss is the flash.

I think we all know this is just a supplement until windows 7 mobile arrives.
Imagine the touch pro 2 with similar but better specs, better CPU and Ram, capacitive touch screen . . . . . . no need for stylus . . . .. . . . and even thinner.

That my friends is finally going to be a nice smartphone.

I'm going to miss my built in hand warming feature, it's getting cold out, ROFL.

I was on a 1 1/2 hour conference call, my friend was standing there with his TP, he felt my phone and just shook his head.

Love my tp2, great update from tp1 and tp0. All around feels more responsive, rarely heats up, and I love having a reliable hw kb (gratefully I was able to upgrade from my tp1 via via tep b/c of the hwkb). Only thing I miss is my damn camera flash. At times I wish the bluetooth was more cooperative, but other than that I love it :

Re: Is TP2 that MUCH better than TP?

touch pro is a joke now. mind you, i loved it, but after having the tp2... i do not want to go back to a vga device with a tiny screen ever again. screen and keyboard are enough of a reason to upgrade no matter what anybody tells you! go to the store and see it for yourself and you'll understand why all of us say it's worth it. Just remember, the next device that comes out on sprint will probably be very powerful with a much faster processor and more ram...

Re: Is TP2 that MUCH better than TP?

I'll give my true opinion. I got it for $150 no contract extended so I took it. I was planning on selling it for more but one thing led to another and now it's my phone .

I wouldn't pay full price nor would I use my upgrade for it. Is it better? The screen is larger and clearer, I always hated how small the tp's kb was and love the tp2's keyboard, The 3.5mm jack is nice. I do love the ringtone loudness (modified the stock ringtones) and speakerphone volume. I would rather walk or ride a bus than drive a Nissan Cube or a regular dodge neon with a srt 4 bodykit. Same as I would rather not have a d-pad than settle for a POS worthless d-pad like in the tp1.

Cons: I honestly get worse battery life than my tp1. I guess I had a special tp1 but I can easilly go 2 days or moderate to slightly heavy use on 1 charge.

I HATE the location of the reset button.

I missed the lack of ctrl and tab buttons but that was taken care of.

Re: Is TP2 that MUCH better than TP?

Sprint gave me the Hero for free when it first came out... I am super satisfied with it... but I really miss having the physical keyboard... I've always had two phones, one for personal use and one for business. I had the Touch Pro and a Samsung m520 slider... when I got the Hero the Touch Pro became my for work phone. From what I've heard here it sounds like i just wisely invested the $375 on Ebay to get a Touch Pro 2 to replace my Touch Pro.
