I am on Energy LEO 21864 and want to try Juicy R3 but I do not want to re-invent the wheel. Everything works for me on Energy Leo except when I pull up Sprint TV I cannot get past the first screen where it says, Sprint TV, Sprint Radio, Premium Channels... To get past that point I need to use the keyboard and press the ENTER KEY. Thank you, Rob. |
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
Has anyone gotten this to work on energyrom? I don't want to hard reset before knowing whether it it works on energyrom. I just want the caller id state thing fixed and access to sprint tv. (the standard energyrom mms fixes are already adequate)

Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
thank you for making the sprint tv work so beautifully! I am on MM current ROM and I am still receiving the bootstrap error after installing the update prl / profile cab. and when it tries to update it just hangs in limbo. I rebooted after each install, and have not installed anything crazy...Should I just hard reset and be happy with my tv?

Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
Just flashed to the newest MightyRom ran the provisioning cab within the ROM, rebooted. Installed Sprint TV from the 1st post and soft reset. Ran the program and it worked no errors 1st time.
However, the quality was pretty poor on the minute or so of video I watched on NFL network. I don't recall the OEM player looking so horrible. |
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
Wow... THANK YOU Mr. X!
This is awesome. I just flashed the new EnergyRom (21869), then installed the provisioning cab, soft reset. Then installed the PRL/Profile cab, soft reset. Then installed the SprintTV cab, soft reset... now sprinttv works like a charm, the quality is great watching the nfl network. I tried installing the mms fix I keep getting an error saying I don't have sufficient privileges to install the program. No biggie though, because using the mms fix specifically for energyrom works already. |

I haven't received any calls yet so I can't comment on whether the state ID thing is fixed, I'll post after someone calls me. (It definitely wasn't working before I installed your provisioning cab) Any idea why the MMS update won't install? It say something about having insufficient privileges to do so. EDIT: maybe I'm a retard, I need to disable manila first right? I'll give that a shot in a bit and post the results. |

Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
Jugg, any idea why the playback is sometimes very choppy watching nfl? Even with a good signal it's still sporadic, like it's not buffering, etc, very pixelated at times. I'm on MM ROM. Are there changes that can be made for that on our end?

I'd totally call myself if I had a land line, haha. I think I'm just going to call a friend at lunch and have them call me back, haha. Update: So the sprint provisioning cab definitely fixes the broken state id thing for me. Awesome, thanks again. |
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
This might be a stupid question and excuse my ignorance if it is but will this work on a T-Mobile US TP2? The reason I ask is because I also own a T-Mobile G1 (USA) and the devs in xda were able to port a bunch of Sprint apps over to the G1 and MyTouch/Magic. One of the apps being SprintTV. I have all the Sprint apps (Sprint NFL, Sprint Nascar, Sprint Navigation) working on my G1. The only one that isn't working anymore is SprintTV because Sprint was apparently able to patch whatever it was that made it possible for the devs to port it over to T-Mobile phones.
So, if anyone can tell me if this will work on my T-Mobile US TP2 I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. |

Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
Guys i have this same issue, now sure where it cropped up but its not the cabs, they set nothing at all related to email, the email inbox or any settings.
its something in the rom. mine included. thats causing the xmls not to set correctly |

If I let the phone sit for a while after hard resetting without going to the email tab it seems to work fine.. (I know it worked when I get the new mail notifications) Out of every 5 hard resets about 2 have this issue.. Edit: After some further testing I must say that I do think something is wrong with the cab.. I'm not triying to blame anyone but to report in order to find a solutions.. Here's what I've done. I'm provisioning my exchange/pop/imap accounts thru xml (SDConfig) this worked without a hitch no previous MightyRom versions (I've flashed them all). Only on the latest version I'm getting the email problem. Another thing I noticed is that if I let the SDConfig run the cab for your provisioning when the device boots and I try to sync over the air with activesync it will prompt me for my password (it shouldn't, the password is on the xml) To confirm I removed the cab from the SDconfig file, hard reset again. This time the phone came on and I didn't ran the Mighty provisioning either.. ActiveSync works the first time I hit Sync without asking for my passord; the way it did on previous Mighty Rom versions. To further troubleshoot I performed the same steps as above, but before syncing I used the Mighty Rom provisioning tool and lo and behold, when I hit sync it asks for my exchange password. I tried using the Mighty provisioning cab, your cab (which I believe are the same) with the same results. I even hard resetted one more time without provisioning, did a sucesful sync (no password prompted, no issues). After that I used the Mighty provisioning tool and instantly I got the password prompt for my exchange account (since it's push). Sincerely I don't see anything that might be affecting this, but I do think is something on that cab. Isn't there a way to compare it with the previous one on Mighty's ROM to see what so different?? |

BTW, I'm using Mighty's rom so it's not your rom only. Just for the sake of it I've hard resetted my device 5 more times and exchange/pop/imap provisioning works as long as I don't use the sprint provisioning cab. on the last one, ran the mighty provisioning tool and the first thing i get when the device restarts is the exchange password pompt. (pop and imap work fine after this since they where already provisioned by SDConfig) tried it two more times installing the provisioning cab via SDConfig and I got the empty containers for the imap/pop and the prompt for exchange password. What I'm doing is provisioning everything via SDConfig, make sure the POP/IMAP accounts are created correctly and Active Sync syncs correctly.. THEN I run the provisioning tool (I still need to reenter my Excange password but everything works after). |
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
ok
I am correct. installing the provisioning XML before the cab causes the mail app to drop the account, using fdcsoft task manager i re ran my xml and it fixes the mail account. What ill test is running the Provisioning cab before the xml in sdconfig next and see if this helps. but the work around for this mught be to use FDCsoft task manager to run the xml after sdconfig which isnt too bad. |
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working

The first thing my SDConfig always ran first was the provisioning.. Altough I did noticed that this provisioning cab ask for a restart.. I don't know if the other one did too. Can you confirm if the previous provisioning cab asked for a restart too?? If I leave the provisioning cab alone on my SDConfig followed by my Exchange XML I get the password prompt for exchange, if I take the cab out and leave only the Exchange XML it will sync no problems, no pass asked. |

Both Update PRL and Update Profile hang, nothing gets accomplished after running both for 5+ minutes. I did try it off the USB connection and that made no difference. Thanks |
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
Has anybody got the sprint prl and sprint profile working I can't it acts like its going to go through and then it freezes. any suggestions I'm using mighty rom 11/16 I've tried with mightys provision and I've tried with mxsprint provision and I tried both nothing working
|
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
I think the prl and profile update missing is what is causing me to not be able to download anything off of sprints website that I purchase running mightrom 11/16. Anybody else having the same issue
|
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
As I have posted before the PRL and Profile update seem to be working just fine for me on EnergyRom winmo builds 21864 and 21869. Not sure if it's relevant but:
(1) I installed Mr. X's provisioning cab after a fresh flash, soft reset; (2) installed Mr. X's PRL/Profile update cab, soft reset; and (3) then I installed SprintTV, soft resent then I was in business. The caller ID no city, state issue was fixed, SprintTV worked, PRL/Profile updates worked. I dunno if that helps anyone. |

1 Attachment(s)
Juggalo_X.. found the problem.
The file "modelname.txt" was breaking the email setup done by SDConfig. Tried on at least 3 phones and definetly that was the cause. I'm including your post without that file if anyone is facing the same issue. |

Just had a user test, with out the sprint modlename.txt sprint tv no worky. sooo, i have a plan for a solution in my rom atleast that will solve both these issues.

I wont be removing it from my cab so that cooks who dont include this my cabs will still work to get sprint soft working. For users who use my rom, cooking in the sprint model id means that installing this provisioning cab or any others of mine will not affect your mail setup any more. if this is infact the cause. |

I assume leaving the modelname unchanged can break SprintTV and probably PRL updates and other Sprint apps |
Re: [UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working
Just flashed to EnergyRom build 28005. Used Mr. X's provisioning cab:
-PRL/Profile updated fine -SprintTV works Couldn't ask for much more! Thanks again! UPDATE: works on EnergyRom build 21877 too! |
