I'm on "CFAY's" 1.2 rom right now... and I've got a issue with Sprint TV.

Everything works great! but when I go to landscape & return to portrait the task bar gets screwed up. It just wont respond properly, even the icon in the upper right corner (don't know the correct name, Running Tasks?) is all mixed up and the phone doesn't respond, real sluggish.

I was on CFAY's 1.0 rom and it did the same thing...

However, I have found if I'm in landscape (Sprint TV) and tap on the screen to bring up the menu before I return to portrait it works perfectly!

All other app's work flawlessly...

I have searched & read, but couldn't find this issue.

Thanks a Million for this fix Juggalo_X . I uninstalled Sprint TV and Mr.X and Installed your cabs one by one and boom just like new. Working Perfect. Juicy R5 w/ Manilla 2.5 .

Same issue here using indagroove's ROM. I found that the taskbar is all messed up (you can see the keyboard symbol in the middle and just black on the sides). But even though the sides are black, if you hit the left side of the taskbar, it's still the soft ket (you just can't see it) and it will take you back to the guide...

PRL and Profile update do nothing...

I'm on Sprint and am using the latest MightyROM. Should I use the provisioning file Mike includes with his ROM? If not, which provisioning file should I use?

Is it safe to include this provisioning file in my SDConfig file (for use with UCC)?

For MightyROM you can use the provisioning file that MightyMike includes then install SprintTV. I think it's actually the same file as Mr. X's. I've used MightyMike's included Sprint provisioning cab with both the 11/25 and 12/6 releases of MightyROM then installed SprintTV, and SprintTV has worked every time without any issues. Just remember to soft reset after install.


No these cabs just give you the ability to have the same access to SprintTV you would have had on a stock Sprint ROM. You won't get anymore free channels that you would have had otherwise.

But I must ask, from reading your thread... (with a Touch Pro 2) "doesn't require a hard reset, only if you installed one of the earlier provisioning cab".

So, then if someone didn't "run your earlier provisioning cab"... they could just run the mrx cab, reboot & it should work???

To install any of this software in this pack you must first install MRX_Sprint.cab to provision your device to be authenticated by the sprint servers.
--> i'm guessing this is regardless of who's ROM or whether one has "installed any of your earlier provisioning cabs" right?

This error: error "Cant get the deviceID from HTC_get_DeviceId()" when booting the phone. ...--> the sprint stuff is not getting your device id for the PRL updater that will run automatically the first time.

has sprint profile update auto booted for you yet?
When is it supposed to do this "automatically"? So, I install Mrx_cab & it'll reboot, then I wait & it should then provision & reboot by itself again? Or, do I have to run it again?

It's a WVGA cab, probably won't work on vga (TP) but I'll try.

dev id error shouldnt be an issue unless its not overwriting CDMADEFAULT.txt and AAAInfo.txt in rom:
So, that's what mrx cab does? updates with dev id etc..?

my files:
cdma txt file has: "31000", what should it have to make this work?
AAAInfo.txt: none to be found. can you tell me what should be in it?

Sorry about all the detailed questions, I'm trying to figure this out for all us poor slobs that can't afford a TP2 yet! :)

? How does one stop provisioning on the ROM? Reboot right after setting up screen by pressing the x's? If so, exactly when & how would I get the ROM I'm on to finish provisioning after running the Mrx cab, "which is a provisioning cab".

I am trying to use this with Caulkin's Kitchen v1.1. I skip the provisioning and try to install MrX-Sprint.cab. I lose data for some reason however. I can't use my data at all unless I go back, hard reset, and allow JMZ provisioning to run.

I am trying to get sprint tv to work.

Alright... I got it to open on Caulkin 28005, but it says "Unable to Authenticate User."

I don't know if im missing something sprint tv runs fine but when i tried to watch the thurs night game on nfl mobile i get the message a "time-out" has expired and no video plays. help please, sorry if this was addressed already and i just missed the solution.

Us Cell is listed on left, standard $10 per month. With Sprint, you get a few base channels for free (2 best are NFL & Disney), but need to pay extra to get all of those listed... ends up... a wash..
You can also go here for free.

--> From what I've heard/read... Sometimes the stream is really overloaded AND/OR your cell tower may be nearing capacity. The question is, can your get it right now... not right at game time. **edit** keep trying & try later. **
You may want to download the nfl mobile cab from here.
OR, here (touch pr 1 & 2) pick your phone, submit, goto bottom, choose "free / demo" then go download from your phone is OK also.

NFL mobile cab (Sprint only *edit* (I think)) has NFL channel imbedded in the program. Takes a few clicks to get the live NFL channel. I prefer using Sprint TV to watch the NFL channel when not @ home because it gives you a larger (full screen) view. At home on a touch pro (not 2), take the cable (2.5mm 3 rings) out of your home video cam & plug into the 2.5mm slot on the rectangular multi plug that comes with it, test to see which is video (by plugging it into the video on your TV & then watch the NFL channel (via the cab) on your TV (using the tvout cab first)... but, the TV out won't work on Sprint TV. Search ppcgeeks for more info on this.

Using MightyRom 6 on TP2. Did not need to hard reset. It did mess up my HDWalls. When trying to set the wallpaper I got the number error. Re-installed HDWalls, disabled HTC Sense, reselected wallpaper, enabled HTC Sense, got it working again.

I am having an issue with MightyMike's "Impact" 6.5.3 Rom with Sense 2.5, when I install the PRL/Profile Updater, it causes the device to have this error:

FactoryBootstrap Fail
Can't get the DeviceID from HTC_Get_DeviceID()

Thanks for the work! just installed only the sprint tv cab only reboot and wow! i have tv. thank you. fyi, 12-24-09 energy rom on diamond.

*update I noticed that when watching in portrait to landscape the vid quits, not an issue to me,do i need to install the other file?

A couple of soft resets later and it working great now, thanks to all involved.

Edit: seems the 7008 error comes and goes, has anyone else had this work sporadically?

I had this working with MIGHTYROM 1/13 on a SPRINT TP2... now since I had a crash and had to hard reset and re-flash 1/13, I can only get a 7008 error when I run the TV program. I do get the channel listings and the TV GUIDE STUFF and all other applications that use the internet work fine.. I had sprint refresh my profile, I did a profile update, did a battery remove ... Same 7008 error..

any idea??? Thanks.

Yes I used the provisioning program that comes with MIGHTY ROM .... I can get on the internet with my phone... I can make phone calls.. SPRINT NFL works.. SPRINT NAVIGATION works.. FACEBOOK works as well as all of the other programs I use that connected to the internet....

Any other ideas? At one point last night I clicked on a channel and it started to load the YELLOW LINE but then stopped and gave me a 7008 error
