Like I said, I THINK MemMaid is program you'll eventually have to pay for. I haven't used it in a while so I'm not sure. If so, you may still be able to do clear some stuff off your storage space as well as your program memory with ClearTemp (this program has a trash can as an icon).

There is also a program called TreeSize Mobile that I got off the Windows Marketplace. It breaks down the folders and their sizes on your phone and storage card, something MemMaid also does.

ok now i get it. thanks for the breakdown and info. i'll read up on the ClearTemp.

No prob. But double check my info, cuz I'm not one of these professional types that can sit down and just write programs and stuff. I'm just saying what has worked for me (in the past 2 hours....).

Re: TP2 needs more internal storage - Device memory is low!

i see some posts regarding SK Tools. From I read from the developer's website, seems like this would do the same thing MemMaid and CleanRam would do (at least a few of the things the app can do). Can someone correct me if im wrong, but from my understanding, SK Tools also cleans files/folders to create for storage space and also clean out to free RAM.

would you guys recommend investing the money for this app to help keep storage and RAM in check? because i've seen a quite a few posts throughout the forum regarding using it.

Re: TP2 needs more internal storage - Device memory is low!

Got the same issue. Low storage. I checked the file Windows and I see its eating up most of the storage. I went from 188MB to 56MB. No idea why. The programs I installed do not even make up 50MB of space. I use MemMaid on a regular basis to clean and compact my RAM.

You can't tell me all this used space is from leftover program footprints!

I don't want to do a hard reset. But does this sound common or did I screw something up to take up all this space?

Re: TP2 needs more internal storage - Device memory is low!

my phone is so new I haven't downloaded any attachments from emails yet. And I've set MemMaid to clear email attachments. Even went into the active sync setting menu, the one that pops up when you plug in your phone, and disabled all syncing.

Unless there is a temp file somewhere that MemMaid doesn't know about, I don't even have but 2 pictures I've taken with it, I can't see why Windows needs such a large amount of storage.

Re: TP2 needs more internal storage - Device memory is low!

weird dog, use resco or some other reg editor, elect to show all files...something is eating the isht up. I had this prob once with TP1 but it was due to a restore that backed some large files in more than one location...oh well, if it is new, do a hard reset and see what you get

Re: TP2 needs more internal storage - Device memory is low!

Ok I think its my mistake here. Its 175mb used out of 239mb. If 188 is normal for windows then I'm way in the clear.

Might have panicked a bit cause I got a message after downloading some files I was runnin' out of space.

False alarm.

Re: TP2 needs more internal storage - Device memory is low!

I was down to 40 MB of storage memory left myself. Here is how I solved the problem today. If you open email attachments or down load files from the internet copys of these files are in your cache & Temp. internet folders in your browsers. Go to file explorer, then My device, then go to windows folder, open the file of the internet browser you use,( ex. Opera for verizon) then delete files in the internet browser download & cache folders for the browser you use. Verizon's Opera saves all downloads on the device's drive even though files are being saved to the memory card. Just did this and removed ~ 100 MB of data! now I'm only using 65 MB of storage space.
