Haha, good point, luckily I never told anyone to do it themselves.....

I think if this was something that can be easily learned a lot of folks here would know how to do it by know. There is a lot of talent here and being that there are only a few individuals in the world that can do, that says a lot.......

I am sure if others learned how to do it, a lot of people would donate to them, especially the way this fiasco has turned out this time around.....

Re: cdma unlocker....dont be mad at me

umm, no. You extract the spl from your working device with itsutils. That's easy. The gist of how it USED to be done is:
1. extract spl
2. patch spl for running unsigned flashes
3. patch spl to disable overwriting itself
4. modify version string to show it's been altered
5. heavily patch spl to allow it to run from different location in memory (rebase and more)
6. jumpspl to the sspl (see step 5, that's sspl).

Now, the new devices are a bit different and for reasons of not wanting htc to change to much in the future, we're not going into that here.

Heck, long ago you didn't have to patch anything. Then cam only needing to patch spl and load it to it's normal place in memory... HTC slowly learns. It's a cat and mouse game. If the details were always published the changes would be too quick to keep up.

Re: cdma unlocker....dont be mad at me

shadowmite, jumpspl wont work anymore on tp2. may be it has something to do with the MPU may be? anyway, either you will have to fix jumpspl or do following steps manually.
1. copy spl in RAM.
2. mark that ram location executable.
3. disable MMU and scheduler.
4. jump to bootloader in the memory.

jumspl does the above steps for you.

the spl have to be patched for followoing checks.
1. patch RSA sign check function.
2. to make it "hard", patch spl to ignore spl header in rom image.
3. patch to ignore cid check.

Re: cdma unlocker....dont be mad at me

As far as HOW to unlock, only a few people know how to do it so good luck getting that answer.

And glad to see an honest question met by a tsunami of immaturity. People really need to grow up a bit.

Try asking in the ROM development section. It's kinda dead but hopefully all the nonsense won't follow you there.
