Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

for those of us having the touch screen issue, it seems that it only fully works with phones running 6.5 which makes sense because this program was made for 6.5

the program works for me VZW TP2, but just loads the results in bing and not even a local search...if this is the intended functionality its not that usefull

This is by design. Search results take you to m.bing.com, using your default browser to do so. Not every user will have the Bing app installed, but they will have a browser that can be launched!

I can't get it to work with my Verizon TP2. Gets to 72% and quits. Did you do anything special?

thanks but i would think bing app would be better because it will actually give you local information

When you have the official working version for your device, you will get the localized results, based on your GPS location!


And while the screen functionality does not work on my Sprint Touch Pro2, I believe I got the "Use current location" part to work in the Settings. Without the screen functionality working right, I can't get any of the checkboxes in the Settings to "check", but I did the following:

• Opened Tellme
• Tapped on Options > Settings
• Using my hardware keyboard, I arrowed down to the "Use current location" checkbox, then hit the keyboard once (typically, that will check a checkbox in many situations).
• Tapped Done (the checkbox did not show as checked, btw)
• Performed a random search, like Pizza (with nothing else said).
• The result: Local results in Opera (m.bing.com) for numerous pizza joints right near my building!

Even though the checkbox did not show as checked, I believe the app new that I selected it, because before I did that, I too, did not have localized results.


Damn, the things we have to do to make an illegitimate app work on our devices!

Ok it worked! Partially lol... so i sad "Text Gilbert" and his contact name came up... which was cool... then i said the text message and it worked just as i said it! the problem is i cant send it.. because i have to touch the part where it says send on the screen and screen doesnt respond

yep I also tried the same thing and I thought I was just trippin, I pressed the space bar and it doesn't show as check but now gettin local results

text to speech works on the sprint tp2 just fine.
