Re: --01/04/2010 --[FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS] Touch Pro2 FAQ --01/04/2010 --

I had WM 6.1 on my Sprint TP2. the USB port failed and sprint replaced my phone for me, no charge, cool huh? I thought so...........

The problem is that the new TP2 has WM 6.5 on it and I can't get the HTC sms client to go away! I want to use the native WM sms client (threaded)

I want to disable the HTC sms client and only allow WM sms. I can't find a way to do it in sense 2.5/2012

Can I change from sense 2.5, back to 2.1, in the stock sprint WM 6.5?

Does anyone know of a way I can do this without flashing a different ROM?

Turn your device off. Then press and hold the volume down button and while you continue to hold volume down press and hold the power button until you see the rainbow bootloader screen. Near the bottom it will say Serial. Connect your USB cable to your PC and then where it says Serial it will change and say USB. Then flash a rom.

There have been rolling outages across the US over the past few months. May be your problem.

Is your my location enabled? did you install anything or change anything before this happened?

Is it carrier branded at all? Sounds like it is the native GSM model.

put it into bootloader mode and give us the info there. with phone off, hold vol down and press the power button. continue holding vol down untill bootloader comes up. Then, to get out of bootloader mode, hit the reset button.
