Re: Opinion on physical keyboard
the tactile feedback on the tp2 is superb, i just randomly type ot get that feel lol. however i'm so used to the tp1's size and layout (layout of certain buttons) that i'm making a few mistakes with the tp2, however i'll get used to it.

Re: Opinion on physical keyboard
It's funny you asked. I LOVED my 6700 keyboard. But moved to the Omnia and took forever to get used to the onscreen keyboard. I finally did. So coming back to the TP2, what happens? Well I hardly even use the keyboard that I so longed to have back! lol!.... Because of the larger screen size, I'm able to use the onscreen keyboard with one hand and very few errors. But I, too have had to adjust to the physical keyboard layout. I've customized the layout to add tab, cut, copy, select, & paste keys. So all in all, I'm growing to love it more.

Re: Opinion on physical keyboard
yeah, i think its because its so much bigger that its almost like handicapping people coming from a tp1. or mogul even. i came from both so having so much space just makes you under reach i guess.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554240 Install both the certs and the cab file. It allows you to map all the buttons on the device. I mapped tab to a long press of the "Q" button on the keyboard. I made a couple other changes to like one tap of the windows key is dpad down, and one tap of the back key is dpad up, long press of send is leftsoftkey, and long press of end is right softkey. It makes the big screen that much more enjoyable. As far as the keyboard goes, im more accurate than i first was with my touchpro 1, but i really miss the clicky feed back. This kb is so soft to the touch that i have a tendency to apply too much pressure waiting for a feed back that doesn't happen. Overall, i can see myself adapting to it. I don't really like how the "A" button is furthest left, it makes me hold the device kind of awkward, but im adapting |

Re: Opinion on physical keyboard
I have had many different devices with real keyboards and none of them have ever compared to the TP2 keyboard. Its hard to explain but it is the smoothest most fluid keyboard I have ever had the pleasure of using. It is insanely easy to type on , more so than I ever expected and its not just the spacing, its the actual press. There is just something soooo smooth about it. Notably impressed !!
