If the OP wants to say bye-bye to wimo, and express his dis-satisfaction on the TP2, then let it be. Just don't flame him for his own opinions, like others have mentioned. You can ignore it, and don't jump on the band wagon. Just wish him luck.

Well I am sorry that most of you did not like my review of the TP2.

I also know that a lot of the issues I have with the phone are actually with touchflo interface and of which I forced myself to try for about a week, then I could not stand it anymore because of it being counterproductive. I then ran it without tflo till now.
And there are differences between WM6.1 on Mogul & TP2.
My call history issue being one of them; another core contact related issue.

And I never said I was leaving WM just did not like what was done to it.

Also if you read my post instead of being angry about dissing the phone you have you would have saw that I am a tech and just because I buy another WM phone doe not mean that I want a phone that I have to fix the heck out of to get it to do normal things like cut and paste, that one my friends is a no brainer I don't care who you are.

But as a contact based business phone it was only fair at best for my business needs. To me, a phone centers around contacts first and foremost; after all, it is a communications device.
I just wanted it to be easier.

I guess if my review were on a reputable website it would be viewed differently, because my points are valid out of the box.

Actually your review made many valid points. And I don't know if I would want the TP2 as a buisness phone either. Hey the mogul was the most over hyped under powered phone ever but at least it's efficent in what you do. The cut & paste comment reminds me of that Apple comercial about them adding cut and paste and acting like they were the first company to ever implement it on a mobile platform. The review actually could be helpful to non-modding users.

But, you might as well have rolled up in an iPhone forum and said "Yeah, the iPhone sucks. Oh, and by the way, the Jitterbug is way better." That's what all the hardcore WM/HTC fans hear anyways.
I don't like the absence of the ctrl key either Ctrl+XCV is my friend.

The purpose of an open forum is to share. The OP shared his opinion. We all shared ours. What the heck is wrong with that? Let this go where it may. If I don't want to hear any slack from a bunch of TP2 users I don't bash. But then again, that's just me.
Also... I go back to my first post....

WOW... The OP who claims to be so "busy" seems to have alot of free time on his hands. lol.

I don't care who you are, this is just funny.

they have changed the bevavior of cut/copy & paste vs the other winmo phones, especially in messaging. You used to be able to highlight & hold down your finger/stylus and hit cut/copy/paste. now you have to enter & exit that mode through the edit menu.

And not having a CTRL key is a VERY legitimate issue for a lot of people, particularly for IT users who use something like PuTTY to SSH into machines. The CTRL key is an essential key on a terminal console. CTRL^C and CTRL^Z come to mind. That said, a remap of the yet-to-be-used by me envelope or SMS/MMS keys to CTRL could be done...I think. But still, why it is missing is a mystery to me, especially to a "business" phone that has remote control capability. It makes you wonder how that got past the prototype stage.

And does the FN+SYM key just insert an underscore for anyone else instead of bringing up the alternate symbol dialogue?

God forbid me wanting my phone to be fun...or be able to do cool stuff Microsoft/HTC/Sprint never thought to do. You imply that a doing cool and/or fun stuff on a $600 "toy" should be like buying a Cadillac CTS-V and driving it like my grandmother. Hell no. I'm putting on SFCs, intake, exhaust, a wheel-hop eliminating rear-suspension kit, dyno-tuning it and taking that bastard down the 1320' like it just slept with my sister (if I had one).

I totally understand you about the contacts mess. Absolutely unacceptable for this phone in a completely ironic way due to how they have pitched it.

I've been a hardcore WM user for the past six years, I can say without fail that I will use nothing esle. That being said the OP raised all valid points. Out of the box, without using tweaking, hack, unlocking and flashing cooked rom, it wasn't as advertised, they could have sent more time insuring the phone was everything the hype was.
