Re: Does your screen show Rainbow Banding?
I've had three TP2 & none have shown this. I sold one to a friend, and I didn't have that one long. The 2nd one is tester, and it's been fine. The 3rd is my everyday phone, and I've had it since the 1st week Sprint started swapping out the TP1.
I use clear protector on my TP2s, and no banding...FWIW. |

Re: Does your screen show Rainbow Banding?
Oh, yeah, my phone did get hot as Hades the other day, so I'm without the two green lights at the top of the keyboard, they are now white...

Re: Does your screen show Rainbow Banding?
That's not photoshopped. I have the same ugly rainbow square on my TP2. Had them on both my TP1s as well.
Natural sunlight hides it pretty well but the rainbow pattern sticks out like a ugly toe under indoor lights. |

If you think you might have this, or just want to check out of curiosity, put your phone under fluorescent lighting

Re: Does your screen show Rainbow Banding?
this happens when you rub the screen too hard when cleaning it. too much pressure and maybe heat will cause this...
it happened to my once with me TP and i have been care full since then and it hasnt happened again. you basically separate the layers of plastic in the screen.

Re: Does your screen show Rainbow Banding?
I had this exact same thing happen, and it happened on my Touch and my Touch Pro. I pinpointed EXACTLY when it happened to mine, and it happened the other day. I was on the phone for about 45 minutes, it got really hot and my face started sweating. It wasn't there before I took the call, and it was there after. Simple as that. Shoulda just used bluetooth.
