Does your screen show Rainbow Banding?

I've just developed this problem, how long is the warranty on this phone? I've had my TP2 since September/November. I don't have TEP.

a year take it to a sprint store and they iwll order you a new one since it is under manufactures warranty. Even if you dont have TEP you still have that.

The crazy thing is that its not THAT noticeable when actually using the phone. On my old TP's last legs, it got that problem. I thought it was crazy how it was a PERFECT square but I just assumed I got it because I treated my phone like crap back then. But I think it might be an indicator your phone screen is about to die though. A month after it started banding my screen became completely unresponsive.

My mark is really small but i'm sure it will grow. This is the same way it started on my TP1. Great I can't stand that mark. I thought they fixed it on the TP2.

Nope its still a problem. Take it in ASAP!

I've had 2 Touch Pro 2's with this problem so far. Take it in, and they will give (ship*) you a replacement. Not much more you can do. And like you said, it WILL just continue to grow.

Ok I think I found out what is causing this. First all the people that are having this problem are you ever putting the phone in your pocket ? I never carry my phones in my pocket I always carry in a belt case. One day I forgot the case and put the phone in my pocket for the day. When I took it out I noticed this rainbow effect. I called and got a replacement. After a few weeks I dropped the phone and wanted another one but didn’t want to pay the $100 so I thought I could replicate the rainbow effect. I put it in my pocket for a couple days and it was back. Got another replacement. Happened on my TP1 and Tp2. This never happened on my Mogul. It only had the white dot thing. I used that issue to get new phones when I had it. Bottom line I can make the rainbow discoloration happen by putting the phone in my pocket and yes I always have a screen protector on my phone.

Just a thought.

Yea I had the same problem with my TP2 about 2 weeks ago. It was a perfect square and a black dot formed in the upper right hand corner and my touch screen stopped working. The sprint rep said it was from moisture getting inside the screen and he ordered me a replacement.

Man... I'm glad sprint is replacing those phones for you guys. I have U.S. Cellular and they refused to replace it or do anything to it. So now I have this high grade touch screen phone with rainbow branding and no functionality from my touch screen. Good thing it has a keyboard...lol
