I went to the Sprint store on Friday to get a (3rd) replacment TP1 because of a bad keyboard, beam non functional, craptastik picture mail and of course all of the other typical issues with this phone. Of course my local corp store was able to order a replacement TP1...thanks....

Monday the phone comes in and of course beam still doesn't work, except on another Windows Mobile phone. I didn't know that when I first got the phone. Picture mail wasn't working either. I had to wait over an hour for them to fix that. I raised hell at the store and told them I would like something different than the TP1. The tech said "I would love to give you a different device, really I would but only Customer Service reps can do that. They are really strict on us in the stores".

So on my way home I called retentions and they said that they no longer have the power to order phones and neither does normal Customer Service. All of that power was pushed down to the local Corp Stores/repair centers. I would have to go back to the store to get it swapped. During this phone convo I discovered that the screen was pulling away from the device. So I went back to the store....

I got the assistant manager to call the manager and he admitted to the "authorized replacement list for defective TP1" from the Corporate Office. The TP2 was on that list but was listed as not in stock and the link was not hyperlinked so he could not order one. I saw the screen with my own eyes. So the TP2 was on the accepted list for replacement but the store could not get it...wtf? But they were able to order yet again another crappy TP1 in the mean time. Thanks Sprint..... Anyway, I was told to check back in a week or so and see if the TP2 was available again. There of course were other crappy phones on the list that I could have gotten that day. Treo Pro, HTC Snap, BB Curve and BB Tour. Seriously?

I finally got Sprint to replace my wifes TP1 and when the tech support rep on the phone went to place the order she saw it was out of stock. So I went to a local store and they could not get any either. The TP2 is on the list but is currently out of stock. I have both the rep from tech support and the rep from the store checking everyday for me and calling me to tell me if I have one ordered. They are trying very hard to get me a new TP2 and they know I don't want any of the other phones on the list. Good luck everyone. Basically we all have to wait now until Sprint gets some more in.

Was supposed to have the TP2 shipped to the repair store by today but when I went in I guess they didn't order it correctly when I went in on Saturday. Now there's none available and they said it might be a week. Hopefully it only takes a week but maybe they'll start giving out NIB TP2 instead of Refurbs if the wait list is too long. Doesn't matter to me, a refurb TP2 is still better than my broken TP1

I was on my 3rd TP when I contacted Sprint via phone. This was about 4 weeks ago and I had to hassel with them to even get them to consider upgrading me to a TP2. After I asked them 5 times and throughly explained my reasoning for a TP2, they finally decided to give me a "curtousy" upgrade. At first, they said I could upgrade for $599. That didn't fly to well with me. Next, they reduced it to $300, which still didn't make sense in my world. I had nothing but issues with my TP from keyboard failure to software dumps. When I brought this to their attention, it wasn't easy for me to get the TP2 and I still ended up having to pay $50. Did Sprint decide to upgrade everything within the last couple of weeks or something? (The TP was garbage... I LOVE the TP2 1000x over.)

and guys dont be surprised if this program is pulled VERY soon... way too many people taking advantage of this i can all but garuntee it will be pulled or at the very lesast the TP2 pulled from the list
