How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

I haven't read the over 50 some pages in this thread yet, but you have my attention. I just upgraded to from my touch to the TP2. I modded the heck out of my old touch and want to add some cool stuff on here.

A couple questions:
1.) has the original post been updated or does this work with wm 6.5?
2.) What's the best reg edit program currently?

Yes, it work on my stock WM6.5

I use the free reg edit program. Forgot the name. Maybe some else can help.

Not "freeware". Must be purchased (officially).

They offer a North American version. There is even a link for a patch for the TP2!

I would suggest putting your correct port and baud settings into the sys.txt file if you haven't already done so.

i already put this:
port=4
baud=57600
it finds satellites, is connecting to them, but after ~1 minute I get "GPS disconnected" and the story is repeating.

Finally I found the problem. In section [tmc] of your sys.txt file, put a ; in front of saved_config_available="1" and it should be ok.

It took me some time to figure it ...

I just update to NavTeq 2009.Q4 and everything is working FINE.
