Anyhow.. I think they will repair your TP2 in-store for anything but liquid damage, as long as the circuit board is intact. If they can't repair it, they will order you a new one free of charge. Filing an insurance claim will also get you a new one, however you will be charged a $100 deductible. |

Re: what is 'damage' ?
I certainly wouldn't worry about dings. That's like a dog chasing his tail, never-ending. Stuff always gets dinged, if you use it like a normal person. Whether it be cars, phones, whatever. Chasing perfection is just an exercise in mental illness. Save it for a real issue.

Re: what is 'damage' ?
"Damage" would simply mean anything beyond repair per the carrier, hinders device operation, and is not caused by a manufactures defect. Your door for instance is replaceable (i.e. I know verizon sells doors on there site and also orders doors as sprint stores should have some supplies at there locations) so TEC would be a bad idea as your paying a deductible for something thats replaceable (think retail for the door is 15 dollars and many carriers replace it for free anyways).
Would agree with Bundo on this one though everything gets dings..I would say just try to purchase a case if you dont already have one and if it doesnt really hinder the use of the device then its really no true point to it besides just making your device look like its better taken care of..which I personally wouldnt care. |

Re: what is 'damage' ?
well you appear to be with verizon so I first must ask how did your screen crack and what is it looking like? <---Turning on the Rep Powers
If your screen cracked due to shipping the device it will be replaced for free (the device) with a New Phone as long as your within your 30 day WFG. If it was cracked by other means then insurance would be the best solution for you. (though generally I know more people have issues with insurance replacements more than Verizon Replacements.) Re: what is 'damage' ?
I dropped the phone basically, so its my fault.
There are two visible lines on the screen due to the crack. Its is still usable and I have almost no problem with it. It is just that I dont want to spend 89 to get it replaced when I can get it repaired for less, possibly. Thanks. |
