Slower Downloads While SIM Inserted

So I have tested the theory that when the sim is inserted in my verizon phone download speed significantly drops. Without the sim i reach speeds of about 1.3-1.4 mb/s while with the sim in I reach only .89 mb/s...... I have tested this 3 times with sim inserted and taken out in the same location. When the phone is forced into cdma mode the phone seems to have a higher bandwith. So the question is how do I only enable the use opf the cdma radio in my verizon touch pro 2??

Settings > Personal > Phone > Network > and you should be able to select mode of operation.

I went idea and changed that setting to cdma only.... I will ad damned he browsing doesnt seem faster. I need to do some speed tests....
