I did steps 1-12 well actualy 8-12 I got the MSL # another way. I took it to the metro store the guy turend on the phone(nothing else) pluged it in using my usb that came with the phone and the phone wasnt auto detected, I told him to select thouch pro and just go on he tried 2 diferent com ports and it didnt work...

I can dial *223 and *611 and I get metro intro.

Was he sopposed to put the phone in to ##3424# mode?

Yes. that is the only way to do it. He also has to make sure he installs the htc drivers from the link provided. If you skip any steps it will not work.

6. Then open up your 3rd party software and fins your MSL. Write it down, then replace it with 000000 and write that to the phone.

whats this crap for anyway?
a. i dont see the way to actually change it
i can edit, and since i found the code with the regedit technique i can get into the edit, but i didnt see a field in the eist or w/e that is where i put this 000000 or could change my msl - someone mind enlightening me? i do have other code's i'd prefer it to be....

Hey Tguerna, I tried following your steps, but I cant find CM_Guardian in the Dot freds taskbar. I have my htc touch pro 2 on metro, and unlocked running on mightyrom. Can you help guide me towards the right direction?

With Mighty Rom it might not have cm guardian. Did you look under services?
