Re: VZW sold out of TP2?

Just takin a stab at this one and I'm a Noob so bear with me, could this be due to Verizons price compared to Sprint? I bet they are selling the tp2's like hotcakes at that price, I am not eligible for an upgrade discount through Sprint yet but it doesn't matter I'm not paying $350 for it and personally I like the way the Verizon tp2 looks ALOT better. Might just have to jump ship eventually, I mean I'm saving $20 a month at Sprint but I'll have better coverage and while I've personally had pretty good cs at Sprint I personally know about 4 people that have had a very hard time. Looks like I've got some thinking to do...

$20/month x 24 months = $480...that's still $330 more out of pocket if you paid $200 for a Verizon TP2 vs. $350 for a Sprint TP2. I'm sure you already know that, just sayin'...

My theory as to why we sell out of the tp2 from time to time. is not just the cost its the word of mouth, reviews, and other influences. Verizon didnt order that many of the tp2 since the big sales flop of the tp1. The tp2 is usable to the point that an average user can now use the phone completly stock and not have that many issues. Its now becoming our best phone for smartphone or otherwise and with 4.5 out of 5 stars on the website people are now looking more at it.

we are ording more and more due to the sales so it wont be sold out for long.

Yeah I can see a lot of other carrier TP people being unsure about upgrading, but a lot of Verizon TP guys saying hell yeah gimme the more RAM!

Re: VZW sold out of TP2?

I was in store looking at some upgrades to my Storm, and I thought to just wait and get the Storm 2, but with all the problems with this one, I went ahead and ordered mine in store and had it in 2 days. They were showing Sold Out Online when I ordered, but I ordered through my business and they shipped it out on Sunday and I had it on Tuesday. I wonder if me owning a business account for 13 years had anything to do with it being In Stock. Anyways, it's a great phone, especially for basic users. I have had about every Alltel phone and Verizon at this point, and I can honestly say I have never liked a phone as much as this one.

Re: VZW sold out of TP2?

Ok well thought I would add to the humor if you can call it that cause it kinda annoys me about how horrible of market research Verizon did in preparation for releasing this phone. I mean they had to know about all these forums and see all the people waiting and waiting for this phone. The Touch Pro is now out of stock as well so if you want a sliding keyboard touch screen phone from Verizon you have ZERO options at this point.

***EDIT*** It appears that is only in Sacramento, CA as I have been trying all sorts of zip codes to see if I can find anywhere with the Touch Pro 2 in stock.

Well it still says it's out of stock in Orlando, FL. Just thankful that I have mine.
