Re: google exchange

How is everyone's push mail working? Seems like there is about a 10 minute delay from when I receive the email till it shows up on my TP2.

Re: google exchange

I've used activesync with exchange for years on different phone models. The key is to make sure your not getting a ton of spam synced to your device. The more email pushed to your device the more power its going to drain. The better we do with spam the better battery life we have!

Yes, for now there is a delay....Sometimes it right on, but after doing many test i would say a 10 minute delay would be about accurate for the most part.

I don't know but my push email works perfectly. Like one of the other poster stated it could be because i don't get any spam. But 80% of the time i get it right when my gmail shows i have a new email or even before it update. the other 20% of the time i would say there is about a 1 minute delay. Ive done the test like 10 times this morning emailing from my hotmail to my gmail and its been on point.

Re: google exchange

I started pushing my gmail thru active sync on the day it came online. Have NOT had issues with mail being pushed...nor have I had issues with my GCal updating the calendar on my TP2.

My issues have been about contacts. I have read in another thread concerning this about dupe contacts affecting active sync.

Also, there seems to be server issues on Google's side this morning...which I think has been reported in many different media outlets.

Well calender does work just not right off.....Dupe contacts..What i recommend is backing up to Outlook first save that csv file so you will always have those contacts....Erase all contacts on google and then do a Google sync from phone.....

I didn't get duplicate contacts either, but i did delete all my google contacts first, i did that without reading any posts, i'm so glad i did now. But this is a feature that i love. I wonder why google gives this for free, maybe since they have hella users they can offer it for free because of the endorsements they get from advertising on their site.
