Re: Many thank to no2chem for an updated battery driver
Be careful with overdrawing, the components that make up the circuitry is made up of the USB port, connectors, copper circuitry, etc. The systems are designed for long term use, dust, ambinet temp, etc. The componnetry is not made up for the overcharging so you are risking in hitting the systems over 50% more with the rated capacities.

I like this... Not certain if USB 2 can output an amp or not, but it's bound to be better than the .5 or whatever it was before. The wall charger will get my tp2 from dead to full in about 45 mins or so (turned off). Good job No2chem

To those that might be a little squeamish ... or over cautious. Thank you for being cautious and advising others the same. I understand that OUR devices are over $500 in value. A hefty investment for most.
Remember that you do install apps at your own risk...and that some of these modders...no2chem especially, has been at it for quite some time with a lot of success. ![]()

Re: Many thank to no2chem for an updated battery driver
wait a minute, the phone can only accept 500mA while charging? My HTC brand wall charger does 1A, and my HTC brand car charger does 2A! Damn, so what happens if I install this, will it be overpowered by my car charger?

Re: Many thank to no2chem for an updated battery driver
Since installing this utility my battery drain has increased dramatically. I'm already at 50% today while yesterday at lunch I was still at 80%. Bear in mind Ive been making changes to this machine by the bushel so it may actually just be coincidental.

The concern is when charging your phone off a COMPUTER. Since you are overdrawing the 500mA a computer USB is set to output, you could limit the life of or damage the computer USB circuitry. It is unlikely but possible. |
