Re: False water damage!?? WHAT DO I DO???
pah, Telus sucked hard on this one. They refused to even send it out because the false water damage... and NOBODY could do anything for me. I tried explaining that there were 2 other NON-damaged indicators on the phone but it did not sway them.
As it turns out, it was just the battery that died, (Which, btw, had no water damage) so i got a new one... but now my warranty is Gone, gone, gone.... The only reason I'm still with Telus is b/c they are the only carrier here that has the TP2. MAN am I ever glad we're getting some new carriers in Canada... the big 3 squeeze every penny they can out of us.

My ATT Tilt 2 doesn't have the outside indicator, and the one on the battery and inside are both completely white, no red lines.

Re: False water damage!?? WHAT DO I DO???
Different carriers have different types of water indicators. As for the OP, I don't think you were stern enough.
Any time I have a company that's not willing to help on a legit issue, I say... Well either you take the $100-500 hit..... (whatever service/item i may have the issue with).... or you take thousands of dollars away when you lose me a customer and I cancel my service. Eventually someone budges.

Re: False water damage!?? WHAT DO I DO???
Here's what I did when this happened to me- I VERY CAREFULLY removed a dry sticker from an old phone, and stuck it on the current phone. It's doable, but you need a steady hand, a razor blade or other thin instrument & access to a dry sticker.

Re: False water damage!?? WHAT DO I DO???
There is no such thing as "false" water damage, red LDI's are purely a guide and just because the LDI is tripped doesn't mean the unit is liquid damaged. That being said, if your sticker IS red, then your sticker has been in contact with moisture, no matter how you cut it.
