Re: Looking for TRUE CDMA Screen Protectors

I just put a Boxwave Cleartouch Crystal on my VZ TP2.

It does have the small round hole on the top right, but my case covers that.

This setup is like having nothing on the screen (in both feel & appearance). I have always done the "steam up the bathroom" trick & this came out perfectly. Even holding the phone up, & looking at it critically in a strong light, you would never spot the protector -it looks EXACTLY like a brand new screen.

Fantastic screen protector, went on without a hitch. One thing to note about these protectors though are that the bottom tips of the screen protector don't seem to FIT the device 100%. Such as, if you align them perfectly at the bottom, the top half of the screen protector will not square up properly.

Overall, fantastic screen protector. It does have a sticky feel to it (I've only ever used stock screen protectors supplied by telus)

The inital unpeel of the screen protector caught me off-guard because the protector is rubbery and flexible.

my phone looks like it doesn't even have a protector on it. no bubbles, no dust under the protector.

I am 100% E static right now!

I've only had the protector on for about 10 min so far... So i will let it sit to dry 100% so i don't get any shifting.

I should have let you install mine...... I had never done one with water before so I was a bit leary. I put it on and took it off so much it was ridiculous!! I spent about an hour fighting with it and it still looks like crap, it has specs under it from bubbles that havent came out after 2 days. I guess I suck...

Throwing my two cents in. Boxwave's AntiGlare is the best screen protector around for any device hands down IMHO. Won't turn this into a review but, I wouldn't consider anything else. Per the boxwave thread I made, I have gotten them to confirm that they are ARE going to make a CMDA specific model with no camera hole but that it's month or two out still and for now, even though the site SAYS it's Verizon specific, it's not, and they're shipping the GSM version for now.

That being said, you're talking about a ~1/4" hole for the camera, on a area of the front face not even over the screen. So it's really no big deal at all that it's uncovered because it's not the screen there anyways! If you get a case for your phone which you should regardless then you'd never even see it anyways.

So since there is no other screen protector worth using vs the boxwave antiglare anyways I went ahead and ordered knowing I'd get the GSM one. when they have CDMA specific ones I'll order one of those.

Re: Looking for TRUE CDMA Screen Protectors

I could not wait and had the ghost amour installed at a mall kiosk on my verizon model. It was 37 bucks installed, I should have tried to get a lower price said another customer - but she was a lot cuter than I was. She said they will usually match the best buy price of invishield. All in all, the shield looks good, all holes are correct, and it has a warranty. Just glad to get it done.
edit: just received my case, screensaver, charger combo advertised as touch pro 2 when they are all for a touch pro. I am waiting for the sellers response.

Re: Looking for TRUE CDMA Screen Protectors

Based on the previous posts, I just ordered a 3-pack of the Boxwave Cleartouch Antiglares. I doubt the camera hole will bother me at all since it is just in a black area of the screen.
Will confirm as well, when I receive them and apply to two phones.
Thanks all!

Re: Looking for TRUE CDMA Screen Protectors

I've tried alot of screen protectors and invisheild by zagg is by far the best. 24.99 for full body coverage.
