Re: Looking for TRUE CDMA Screen Protectors
Well 5 protectors for only $6 shipped I figure I'd take the chance.
Has anyone received these yet and if so how is the quality. My hopes are they will be just as good as the one that comes in the box (Telus), but then for only about a buck each maybe that is too much to ask for. Quote:

Re: Looking for TRUE CDMA Screen Protectors
can someone with ghost armor installed on tp2 verify if there is a noticeable orange peel effect. i would like to get just the screen protector for it but after looking at many pictures online, not the tp2 though, i have noticed the orange peel is pretty significant.
also i have never installed a protector before. is orange peel something that arises do to user error in the installation (like to much applicant), or is it in the product itself? it just seems i find inconsistent pictures of identical phones, ones with and without orange peel and both claiming to have ghost armor. anywho hard to believe what you see on the internet. would like to hear from a tp2 user first hand on the orange peel issue. thanks |

Re: Looking for TRUE CDMA Screen Protectors
I was just thinking, maybe its a good idea to install a screen protector outside, this way you'll avoid dust particles in the air...

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...43#post1195043 I ordered mine from Boxwave yesterday and they send me a confirmation email this morning that it is shipping today. By the way, if you order the 3 pack from Boxwave they allow you to combine both the Crystal and Anti Glare versions in the same shipment. |

Pro-tip: turn on the shower on hot for about 10 minutes, then go into the now foggy bathroom and apply the screen protector. Obviously, shut off any AC and ideally close off any vents or drafts. All of the dust should fall to the floor if it's humid enough. |

I have used boxwaves for years on all my pda devices and pda/phones. I turn on the shower until it is all foggy. then i open the screen protector, peal off protective film on phone.device and apply. Takes only a minute and goes on perfectly all the time and never have dust. If there is some moisture underneath you can work it out or give 24 hours and it will evaporate out from underneath. |

Re: Looking for TRUE CDMA Screen Protectors
Just got my clear protector in...
Followed all steps on the instruction sheet + the addition of hypnotic's advice to turn on your shower and let the bathroom steam. Fantastic screen protector, went on without a hitch. One thing to note about these protectors though are that the bottom tips of the screen protector don't seem to FIT the device 100%. Such as, if you align them perfectly at the bottom, the top half of the screen protector will not square up properly. Overall, fantastic screen protector. It does have a sticky feel to it (I've only ever used stock screen protectors supplied by telus) The inital unpeel of the screen protector caught me off-guard because the protector is rubbery and flexible. my phone looks like it doesn't even have a protector on it. no bubbles, no dust under the protector. I am 100% E static right now! I've only had the protector on for about 10 min so far... So i will let it sit to dry 100% so i don't get any shifting. |

Finished reading a few more of the reviews for this from others and I wanted to add that I find it equally as grippy with the stylus which seems to get stuck on certain parts of the screen. Finger swiping is still not really working for me, but if I focus on using my fingernail, it responds much better. It looks great, but.... Last edited by krusty46; 09-29-2009 at 11:35 PM. |
