HTC released a firmware update for the TP1 that tweaked GPS. It's reported that it's still not perfect, but much better. It seems that the TP2 inherited TP1's faulty GPS, so a firmware update may be our only hope.

Re: TomTom is really slow!

Mine was slow right out of the box, I was getting that BT error when the phone started up so I did a clear storage to start fresh, this was before reading about renaming those 2 files. After the hard reset TT worked about the same it did for the TP1, about 20 yards off all the time, but with the right speeds.

Cool Re: TomTom is really slow!

I am wondering if it is a problem with the GPS on the TP2 or it is because the device cant cope with redrawing the screen fast (2d/3d problem)... Has some one tryed a Bluethoot GPS device and see if the lag continue... ?

Re: TomTom is really slow!

I posted a lag fix here. Works! Just delete two files and two entries.

Yeah your right. But it is a bit more of a performance hit. And remeber, tomtom on the PRO 1 ran like at 2 to 3 FPS. So that minor hi res hit could brint it to a solid 2 fps. Turbo. lol

Re: TomTom is really slow!

I really do not like to delete files with registry hacks.
