Wrong!! if the sticker has bled then that is all she wrote. It doesn't matter if there is corosion inside the phone or not. Don't give out false info and that person shouldn't have put water on their phone. Anyone who listens to the OP on how to put their screen protector on is making a big mistake and is doing it at their own risk. I mean seriously think about it....PHONE...WATER....UHHH .... PHONE+WATER=BRICK and you SCREWED...paying $100 if you have TEP. |

well i had trouble putting on the original tp2 screen because I didn't follow this guide. I bought a Boxwave guard and used the technique describe and its flawless! you just have to be very careful with the water. Thanks OP!

If you read the instructions and use common sense It isnt going to cause a problem. I mean come on people..Obviously the point isnt to get your whole phone wet, just enough on the protector to let it slide around a let all bubbles move from under the protector. This is not new news on how to get a screen protector on, many screen protector manufacturers use this method in their instructions, for example I have attatched Best Skins Ever application instructions, they use the same method to apply protectors. The point of this thread is to share my experience on which method has worked the best for me, and this method has by far been the easiest and has always had the best results. Please by all means, if you dont think you have what it takes to read these instructions, and make this a safe experience, then dont use it!! For the many who had the ability to follow the instructions and got great results, Kudos to you!!

Re: [Guide]Perfect application of screen protectors with pics.
Awesome guide. I have just done it right now with water and a little bit liquid dish detergent and it worked perfectly with moving the protector to its right position! I will leave it today drying and hope that it is still working tomorrow

Re: [Guide]Perfect application of screen protectors with pics.
Hey there,
First post, and I HAD to come on and say thanks for this EXCELLENT write up Hypnotic2010. I didn't even know the TP2 came with a screen protector; I was actually looking into purchasing one, until I came across your post - so thanks for that. Your instructions were great, and I would like to add a few subpoints, and share my experience for others. I brought my phone in midway through my shower - so it was only in the bathroom about 10 minutes total. You don't want it exposed for too long; and again you can block the water sensor. I used gloves so I didn't leave any fingerprints. I put a VERY thin coating on the screen; then dipped the protector (sticky side) into the solution. I shook and wiped off any excess so it was a thin, but solid coating. For me, I guess I didn't use enough soap, because I wasn't able to move it around freely; I had to pick it up and realign until it was straight. I was freaking out about the spots/haze; but as Hypnotic2010 reassured me, it would go away. My pictures are from the first night, approximately 8 hours after application. By the time I got home the next night, about 20 hours after application, it was about 90% perfect. By the time I woke up the next morning, approximately 32 hours after application, it was 95% perfect. When I got home that evening, about 45 hours after application, it was 99% perfect. I have one super small air bubble (my fault), but it looks perfect. Many thanks for this write-up. I put on my last screen protector in 2007, and it took me about an hour; and it was far more frustrating. Not only did you save me a ton of time, you saved me from purchasing one unnecessarily. Many thanks again; good luck to all the rest. |
