Mine wasn't checked too and I have my service set to CDMA only, no GSM.

Where the heck is this setting on a 6.5.3 Rom, I can't find it.

This #777 thing is driving me nuts.

It typically happens after I hang up from call.

I have it on CDMA Only.

It did not happen on Calkulin's ROM (28005) but does on Engery ROM (28004, 2800. All Manila 2.5.

Re: Get rid of the Cannot Connect Dial:#777 Popup?

I get this on my verizon tp2, but usually only when tethered. I'm not roaming and have a good 3g signal. It goes away with a click but sometimes comes back. I generally am able to ignore it since my eyes are on my laptop anyway. It seems to have no effect otherwise and my signal is fine so I'm perplexed as to why it pops up. I can certainly see how irritating this would be trying to use your phone.

Re: Get rid of the Cannot Connect Dial:#777 Popup?

This thread is currently 2 pages longer than it should be as well as 2 posts longer. After the OP posted and then re-iterated what he wanted, every post in here is useless. The OP, as well as myself does not care why it happens but simply wants a workaround to disable the warning that pops up. WE DON"T WANT A FIX TO THE 777 ERROR OR TO "TURN OFF THE #777" LIKE SOMEONE ELSE IGNORANTLY STATED! Just like the SMS Sent notification message, we want something similar to rid our phones of alerting us. I will personally go through the registry to see if I can find a resolution, but in the mean time, if anyone knows of a fix for this, your response would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize for the angry post, but it's very common in forums for people to respond with completely useless information and make those that seek an intelligent response to a simple question page thru many more posts than necessary.

Re: Get rid of the Cannot Connect Dial:#777 Popup?

did you try this?
Go to Settings, Sounds & Notifications, Select Notifications, and then from the drop down menu select Connection established. Deselect the "Display Message on screen" box and that should take care of that

Re: Get rid of the Cannot Connect Dial:#777 Popup?

Box is already unchecked. I checked the connection disconnected event as well as that is more likely the one that would correspond with #777 message and that box is unchecked and grayed out. I'm still playing with the registry to see if I can locate something that will change this.
