Re: anyone considering using spb mobile shell instead of touch flo 3d on this phone?

i used mobile shell on my mogul for alittle bit, then installed manila 2d. tried it on my TP1 and went back to manila. Tried it again when i got my TP2, went back to manila. Manila just seems to flow better for me. (no pun intended) With MS i just felt like i was searching and digging. wasnt really, but its just how it felt to me. I prefer Touchflo because its smoother and it looks better. the only thing i dont like right now is the start menu but i installed panoramic launcher until i can get 6.5 back on my TP2. once that happens, i will be happy once again

Re: anyone considering using spb mobile shell instead of touch flo 3d on this phone?

I have MS 3.5 installed (had purchased MS 2 ages ago and got it for $15) and have ZERO issues...dialer or otherwise. It seems to be using the HTC dialer. Bluetooth/wifi widgets work fine, and with MSSkip's theme and widgets (LOVE invisible buttons) it is really very good.

There is stuff I miss from TF3d...better Facebook integration with contacts, better SMS interface...but that's about it. I hate the default 'all contact' program in MS; but there is a way around that; I just haven't dove into it yet.

That said, the Leo version of TF seems to be very MobileShell like with widgets on the front page and a wigitized 'favorite contacts' listing. When the VZW is unlocked and there are ROMS with that; I'll give it a shot...but I'm digging MS 3.5 a lot.

I just installed this yesterday and I totally agree with you! So far it's good and I love the widgets...

Like Tmwes mentioned, I only miss the TF3D SMS interface! I also haven't experienced any dialer or bluetooth issues (it uses the standard HTC dialer!)...

The only "bad" thing is that it seems to use MUCH more battery then the TF3D... Anyone with the same experience?

I prefer MS 3.5 with the multiple desktops and widgets compared to TF3D. It works much better on a touch screen phone then stock Windows Mobile as well. The newest 3.5 version has a resemblance to the Sprint Hero interface which is very finger friendly. It also takes up less memory and improves battery life which is a plus....
