Re: anyone considering using spb mobile shell instead of touch flo 3d on this phone?
No, and even after my long post, it's almost enough for me to uninstall it before my trial is over. Looks like it hasn't been fixed for months which doesn't give me a good feeling about the developers.

The Bluetooth widget thing, though, makes me mad because SBSH fixed it in Phone Weaver and PhonEx fixed it, too. I don't know what SPB is waiting on.

Re: anyone considering using spb mobile shell instead of touch flo 3d on this phone?
I had to revert back to touchflo after using MS3.5 for a while due to dialer and hw button lockups. I really like the GUI and functionality of MS3.5, it's a minor version or two away from being ready for prime time.
The problems I've had is the phone rings and you can't answer it because the dialer screen and the send button don't work. Another time I checked my voice mail, listened to and deleted it, only to find none of the hw buttons worked so I was locked on the dialer screen. Had to soft reset. |

Re: anyone considering using spb mobile shell instead of touch flo 3d on this phone?
I can't imagine being stuck with TF3D. Even with the known bugs and a restore issue on my TP2 I cant live without MS3.5.
Just curious if anyone else is have problems restoring MS3.5 settings from a backup? I've been happily setting up my device for a week, all the while backing up the settings to my Storage Card, over writing after each change. A few days ago I made a bunch of changes but wasnt happy so I decided to just restore it from a previous version. I got an error about having some kind of file problem then it exits and all of my custom settings are just gone... Upon further investigation I realized that no backup will restore no matter what options I use to save the backup. I did post on the SPB forum but help from SPB is pretty weak at best. Anyone around these parts have this restore issue on a TP2? |

Re: anyone considering using spb mobile shell instead of touch flo 3d on this phone?
Screen01.jpgI used SPB 3.0 on my omina I910 and Now have spb 3.5 on my tp2 for alternative screen.
I enjoy the benefits of both tf3d and spb mobile shell but tf3d is more for my liking for personal reasons . Also I see some saying that have issues with spb 3.5 on there tp2 but I have tried every option on it and to my knowledge I dont have any compaints . Maybe other tweaks u may have could stop the functionality of programs . Just my op. Last edited by jbynum69; 10-08-2009 at 02:38 PM. |

I find it's the ms3.5 that has certain stability issues. 3.0 is the one I stick with
and with mskips tweaks it's a real treat. No dialer issues/freezes here. |

Re: anyone considering using spb mobile shell instead of touch flo 3d on this phone?
I could never grow to liking MS3. I tried, but it just didn't happen. I gave the trial a 2 week period to make me happy, but I ended up going back to TF3D. I even tried it on the TP2 and I still didn't like it. The problem for me is that it's just really ugly and the widgets kinda suck. They're not very nice looking, and not very customizable. For me, I have everything I "need" on my home screen in TF3D. I have the time, upcoming appointments, and missed calls. I can see my messaging tabs, and with one click, I can see what I missed.
I think MS3 is a fantastic concept, but it has a long way to go. If it was more like the SenseUI on the Hero, then it could be nice. I just think SPB doesn't have the amount of resources HTC does for a great design.
