Re: Official Sprint TP2 Pros and Cons thread...

For me...both the TP and the TP2 are great devices. I do like the TP2 larger screen and keyboard (both off screen and on...bigger and easier to use for both). The device is better quality (imo) and feels great...and it works well so far, no issues or lockups, etc....I use MS3, and have the reset wiget on second screen, so reset if needed is a touch away!
Price IS high...but I sold my TP1 already for $200 on CL...so I am locked into the TP2...but after doing the math...I paid $150...all is good in my world

Re: Official Sprint TP2 Pros and Cons thread...

The more I use this phone, the more I truely enjoy it. To me, this is what a mobile ppc phone should be. The phone is solid. Rock solid. While holding both the tp1 and tp2, it makes the tp1 feel like a playskool toy. I know it means nothing in performance, but just the feel of the phone is a plus. Battery life is excellent. I don't feel like I'm gonna be stranded with a dead phone. Or if I forget to bring my usb cord to work to charge it, I know I can make it through the day. The screen is just plain awesome!!!! I hardly even take out the stylus on this phone. All in all, the best phone I've ever used. Now take it, I can only compare it to the TP1. But the more I use it, I love it more and more.

I'm not whining, but my only complaint about the whole thing, is my pixel issue. I'm not *****ing or crying, but it is an issue. I'll probably not take it back. But with the smoke background that comes with the phone, only 1 pixel shows up. Its stuck on, and you can see it big time. But, I really don't think its worth the hassel to take it back and go through all the hoopla. I'll let it ride another few weeks. All in all though, 9.9 out of a possible 10, only because of the pixel issue.

Love it.

Re: Official Sprint TP2 Pros and Cons thread...

my only dislike about the TP2 is the inability to use today screen plugins on the touch flow interface.. a lot of wasted space on the home screen. it's an excellent phone and probably the best ppc i've ever used.

Give Mobile Shell 3 a try, very configurable!...you may never go back to TF!

Re: Official Sprint TP2 Pros and Cons thread...

You have to angle it in the TP stock case, but it fits perfectly imo. Very snug. So far I am very pleased with my TP 2. I am not experiencing any of the listed issues. I am a little disappointed that such an expensive phone would not come with a case, headphones, or a separate cable for the wall charger... Personally I use one of the mini-USB chargers, but still, for that price I expect a little more.

Re: Official Sprint TP2 Pros and Cons thread...

My Pro 2 is spectacular! Very responsive! The screen is almost twice the size of the Pro.
The tilt screen is also a big plus for many applications and uses.
The back on the Sprint version is the winner! I love it. Very cool and totally different from the others.

There are few things that I miss that the Pro has but you can't have everything!

I have talked as long as 30 minutes with a slight warmness from the back. I believe that is to be expected from any phone: PDA or other.

has anyone tried using gps while charging? that's a sure-fire way to see if the overheating was fixed.

Re: Official Sprint TP2 Pros and Cons thread...

The only thing i would like to see is for you to have to hold the power button to turn screen on. I have to keep the phone in my pocket at work and every time i pull it out it was on already... Other than that it's a great phone
