Yes, the TP2 will work with SERO.

A Sprint store couldn't even add an Air Rave to my account.
When I got the Treo 800w when it came out, I got it at Best Buy. For the rebate, they had to override the system, and then call to get it activated cause the normal way would not work.

I ended up leaving with the device working. (Sucked, so I returned it in like 2 weeks) but I was able to have them do it.

That was back then, when the 800w was new, so I dont know from that time on if they can. I would suggest just calling your local BBY.

I think the problem lies with the rebate, and there is no way for them to actually do it correctly without overriding the system, which they normally do not like to do. I had them do it, cause I used to work there, but I am not sure if they would do it again. Reason being, I dont think they get any kick back when the override.

Again, just call, and ask one of them. Not too many times they encounter SERO people, and in my case, I think I was the first they tried that with.

Re: Sero Plan & TP2 orderers

So anyone else receive theirs yet and successfully get it activated on SERO, or the F&F 500?

I'd have figured by now we'd have more people telling us yay or nay.

Either that, or you all are still impatiently waiting for UPS to deliver it to your door step today.

Still seems to be a half and half deal, and i'm wondering if the everything plus site is the way to go. Type in your phone number, add it to the cart, and it just extends the contract.

I thought about calling, but it seems as if it's a shot in the dark. The only thing I can see that would be better, is that maybe you can get a better deal.

Not sure if you can chat with a rep and order that way or not online.

So far no one has received theirs yet from what I can tell and then gotten the shaft. I think if that was the case, we'd be hearing... Got my TP2 today, and wont activate. That would be lots of returns.

I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY ACTIVATED MY TP2 ON MY SERO PLAN!
I hope this answers any future questions on this matter for anyone.

Re: Sero Plan & TP2 orderers

Here is my concern now... getting the best price.

If you do direct from the web, you get...

$25 discount for 1yr renewal
$75 discount for 2yr renewal.

Now I am assuming you get the $100 mail in as well. It says you CANT get the $150 instant on the everything site unless your plan is $39.99 or more, which mine is not.

So at a 1yr discount, assuming I get the $100 mail in... $474.99

I've never paid this for a phone. I will do anything to keep SERO though, but I wonder if chatting with a rep, or even online can get me any other type of deal?

Obviously you have no choice in the matter with straight web ordering. But it should be possible to at least talk to someone that can do some additional service credit or something.

Re: Sero Plan & TP2 orderers

I posted my activation confirmation email as well in another thread...

I activated my Sprint Touch Pro 2 on my SERO F&F 500 line and have not had any problems... so far.

My experience ordering the Touch Pro 2 on 09-05-2009:
I called the employee Telesales number, 1-888-503-3078, and the first person I spoke with first asked if I was a Sprint Employee. I told her no, and she proceeded to pull up my account and sell me the Touch Pro 2. (When she brought up my account she called it an Everything Plus referral account if that matters to anyone) I made sure, more than a few times, that from what she could see in my account if I had to make any changes at all to my account in order to use this phone. She said she was sure I wouldn't have to do anything. She did say she wasn't sure about the details on the rebate and acted surprised I would question if I was really going to be able to get it.

It's frustrating trying to guess how much a rep is either giving you their general assumption or actual knowledge to one's particular situation.

The data is working fine on it. I upgraded from the Mogul.
