Theres an app for that!:sign5::sign5:

i digress, i can get on board with what u guys r saying. it would be awesome if our phones rendered like the video exiled posted, but for me since this will primarily be a biz device its not a dealbreaker but i can see how for some it may be

These drivers were originally developed for Polaris, but should work on any MSM7xxx device..of course some tweaking may be required. These drivers are only 3d drivers and not 2d, so things like TouchFlo, video and gaming would be improved tremendously. They still do not reach the full potential of the chip either, but is an improvement.

Edit: Here is a link to the Polaris driver:

take caution if you plan to use them

Here is the diamond one:

Well like I said. It cannot be compared to PSP. And only Tegra can match it if not top it. And I forgot TG01. It has a solid GPU but I don't think they have the drivers. Palm pre is crippled too even thou it has a solid hardware. Well HTC just beat Iphone 3G on paper. Not at all. the iPhone 3GS has an ARM Cortex A8 CPU, which is twice as fast clock-for-clock than ARM11 CPUs like the Qualcomm MSM7200 (used by HTC) and the Samsung chip in the iPhone 3G. The 3GS is roughly 2.2x faster than the MSM7200 in general CPU performance, around 50x faster in floating-point operations (MSM7200 lacks hardware VFP and so relies on a WM DLL to handle FPU ops), with a graphics chip that's >10x faster.

Since the iPhone/iPhone 3G has a hardware VFP, it's around 20-25x faster clock-for-clock at floating-point ops (which iPhone OS uses pretty heavily but WinMo doesn't at all, as it's optimized for the ancient ARMv5 instruction set-- some native WM apps can make use of it if present, though).

I agree with all of the statements about the missing drivers on our HTCs. But...
My wife has iphone 3G. She does a lot of traveling and I installed Navigon for her to use. After extensive testing, I can say that it works no better than it does on my TP (as well as TT on my TP). There is still choppy screen motion, lag, and missed turns, something that never happens with the dedicated TT PNA unit. I also briefly tried Sygic on her phone, and got the same results. So, as good as it is, iphone is also far from perfect, at least the older version.
