Yes, but you will have to pay for new maps.

Re: How To: Configure GPS
Hi! Tobeychris, I'm from Mexico and We have these settings from Iusacell:
IUSACELL: PDE IP Adress 207.83.200.238 PDE Port 8888 Would you create a CAB for these settings to configure my TP2 GPS? The QPST settings are already configured but not these ones. Thanks! |

Re: How To: Configure GPS
TELUS replaced the phone on Friday, and before I even left the store I had that Telus GPS Settings cab file loaded on the new device. First time aquisition took something like 4 seconds to get 9 satellites. No need to fiddle with QPST or anything else. Much better!

Re: How To: Configure GPS
Pretty sure if you use the "Telus Provisioning CAB", you enable a form of aGPS which *does* use a bit of data (hint - the GPSOne settings have IP addresses and port numbers in there).
I do believe you can use the GPS without any data whatsoever, just watch the initial position lock times go from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. Not only does Telus not include QuickGPS, but the CAB files I found online (yes, including that VGA one) to try and use that resulted in a bunch of errors for me. |
