Re: Magnet in case turns LCD on
I have a TP2 with magnetic flap (Krusell small holster). I haven't had any problems with the screen coming on. I had this problem with an old phone -- the Motorola E815 -- but never since. In fact, I believe a magnet would have the effect of turning the phone off, not on.
EDIT: I just took the base of my router antenna, which has 2 strong magnets in it, and ran it all over my TP2. When the TP2 is off, no effect. When the TP2 is on, no effect until the magnet is at the very bottom of the phone. At that point, the light on the 4 buttons turns off. They turn on right away when I pull the magnets away. Re: Magnet in case turns LCD on
Magnetic case = fail imho. I tried several over the years and found out that magnets and electronics are not always a good mix. I quit using cases altogether, but YMMV as far as a magnet case.
just my $.02 opinion jigwashere, interesting test. Gonna stick with my naked phones. Last edited by cbreze; 01-31-2010 at 03:14 PM. |
