Question Cleaning tool 6.5.x

I'm running Sharkie's newest. Anyways, I used mem maid back a year ago, and stopped cause of constant flashing. Now I'm getting lag when ever I come out of sleep. It's mainly in the touch flo. It's unresponsive for at least 5-10 secs. I'm overclocking too at 768MHZ, (Yes I've tried running stock speed, same result.) This issue is over multiple roms, so I assume it's just bogging down with data after awhile. Any ways, my question is what program will work like mem maid, mainly the cleaning of unused files and left overs from uninstalls. I was under the impression memmaid doesn't work right on 6.5.x roms..

If you have any other ideas to help resolve my issue, I welcome the thoughts.

I did google and most of the things I got were about 'clean roms' or a task manager.

Thanks.

Added note, when I flashed I did use task 29, and used all the procedures to avoid weird errors.

Re: Cleaning tool 6.5.x

If it's happening over multiple ROMs, you may want to test before you install anything to see if it's something you are doing. Is it happening all of the time or only awhile after a soft reset? One tool that is easy to use is cleanRAM. It has 3 levels to how aggressively it closes programs/reclaims memory and can do extra things like restart sense/spb mobile shell/etc. or schedule a time to soft reset every so many hours.

Re: Cleaning tool 6.5.x

I'm not too sure what started it. Thanks for the suggestion, but I've never had a good experience with that program on 6.5.x roms. I'm starting to wonder if it's the way they customised the rom themes. Energy and Sharkie both do thesame thing, it's coming out of sleep. Usually doesn't require a reset, but I do have to wait sometime for it to respond. In this time period it allows use of the start menu. Which doesn't make sense to me. lol

The last rom before this I used was Energy, before his recent update. I remember after installing sharkie, it would be fine for about three days, nothing installed other then xda_uc

Which installs

AMeba_v0.8
audiorecen (Resco Audio Recorder)
CloudSMSBackupv1.1
DeluxMoon
Expresssprintmkt
Ganodolf_CrayonPhysics
GPSWeatherRadarPRO_2_4
MobileGamertag
MSS Converter
SwitchRoamMode

Minor update. It's seems it's the whole device outside the start menu.
I'm also starting to wonder if it's hardware. I've not had it happen until the device. =\

Try not installing Ameba (or just uninstall it). Most chef's will (or should) have a position fix/close on 'X' already cooked in. I think sharkie might use utask. Installing ameba would be having another program trying to do the same thing. It's just a guess, but it's worth a shot.

Re: Cleaning tool 6.5.x

I'll give it a shot and report back.

Went through the uninstall list and couldn't find it. So I installed the cab thinking it would uninstall it first, but it installed. I took it back off. Resetting and confirming results. I didn't apparently have it installed.. Which is weird, cause everything else is.

Re: Cleaning tool 6.5.x

Ok.. Just in case someone is wondering. I think I figured out my issue. I restarted the phone, and didn't mess with the clocking speeds. I assume it was WINMO doing it, because it's more responsive coming out of sleep, rather then having to wait on it to think. I appreciate the attempt mwalt.

"clocking speeds".... try adjusting your "sleep/idle" speeds.. my guess is if the idle speed is too far away from the OC'd speed, this could be were your having your issue... since its on the wakeup..

idk

Re: Cleaning tool 6.5.x

Any tips? I tried messing with the settings, but the only thing I'm able to do on it is raise or lower my clock speeds. I didn't see anything about idol speeds, etc.
