Re: HTC Touch PRO 2
doesnt sound like a sod to me, more like a defective power button. if it was a sod the tp2 would be froze. the fact that the charge indicator light goes on and off when you plug/unplug suggests its not a sod to me. its like this. if you are charging your tp2 and then have a sod. the charge indicator light will stay on even if you unplug the tp2. if you are running off battery and have a sod, if you were to try and charge it, the light would not come on when you plug it in.
not to mention the fact that you say the device is powered off and wont turn on. a sod happens with the device on. it definitely sounds like a bad power button to me. like the others said, its time to take a trip to sprint.

Re: HTC Touch PRO 2
Power button may be dead. Try pulling out the battery, putting it back in, and putting it on the charger for about 20 minutes. Then press the soft-reset underneath the battery cover. If you get something on the screen, you have a dead power button. If nothing comes up, then there are a number of things that can be wrong, all of which can be difficult to fix without equipment coverage
