Double the sound....

Ive searched and searched this forum and cant find what I need. My tp2's external speaker still plays when I have headphones plugged in. Whatever volume the system is on, so is the speaker. It kinda defeats the purpose of having headphones in if everyone can hear what you're listening to. Please help me fix this.
