Double the sound....

Ive searched and searched this forum and cant find what I need. My tp2's external speaker still plays when I have headphones plugged in. Whatever volume the system is on, so is the speaker. It kinda defeats the purpose of having headphones in if everyone can hear what you're listening to. Please help me fix this.

Does this happen with the stock Sprint ROM with nothing else installed? If so, it's most likely a hardware problem.

Check the USB connector a pin may be broken or bent. Or the headphone output is just shot.

My TP2 just did this recently too... But only once... A soft reset took care of the problem. You don't say if you've tried this. Might be worth a try if you haven't.

ive had that happen before with my bt headset but this was after a call when i hung it up using the end call button rather than the headset button and that routed the sound back to the device even tho the headset was connected. but if this is happening with a wired solution the headphone jack must be going (as they commonly do ) i use my micro usb headset from my tp so i dont have to worry about my jack going anytime soon. try resetting and flashing a stock rom if the problem is still there then its a hardware problem.

When it happened to me... I was listening to music with my Moto Roker wired headphones (that also have a hands free mic on the wire) ... Then I got an incomming call which I ignored using the screen. Then I continued listening to my music till I got a tap on my shoulder asking me if I could please turn down my music. LOL.

it might be a rom thing too, i was on the stock sprint 6.5 when it happend to me.

I did a soft reset and still nothing. I just got the phone 2days ago, its a replacement. Everything is stock 6.5. I took it to the sprint store and had a tech to look at it and they just ordered me a new one, but thanks everyone for the input.

this has happened to me before on stock sprint 6.5 recently. it usually happened after i ended a call. it hasnt happened since i flashed to energy rom though. i think its a rom issue.
