Re: OMG! Bought 3 TP2s: Did I screw up?
Sprint's TP2 is already "unlocked" for using Sprint's GSM sim card. Don't use their card!!! Sprint charges a fortune for GSM in Europe. Go here: Olipro->Creations(&RhodiumW_Unlock); - Touch Pro 2 Worldphone Unlocker and unlock your TP2, so that it can use any GSM sim card. This is only for the sim unlock, not ROMs.
Just got back from 2 weeks in Italy and it worked great. No other Sprint phone works like the TP2 as a world phone. |

I'm trying to get mine to do that too. TP2 is a win phone for sure. Mines more tweaked then a coke addict on a four day high.

If you want to use Windows 6.5, then I suggest the LEAD rom for stability and ease of use. I've been very happy with his work. He also has a 6.5.x rom which is a slightly less stable OS but brings more finger friendliness all around. With 3 Tp2's, you could try all 3 and see which one you like most! The androind front is also looking great. It's not at 100% yet, but you can run it safely and get a feel for the OS while retaining your original OS. Your TP2 is also SIM unlocked OUTSIDE of the USA. You can use any international GSM SIM that you wish. Good luck. |

use lead rom!
it's the fastest/most stable/most underrated rom out there made me fall in love with my tp2 all over again |

Re: OMG! Bought 3 TP2s: Did I screw up?
I am running stock 6.5 and haven't seen any major problems I wasn't able to find a tweak for. Speed wise it's OK.
Also, I ran SPB Mobile Shell for a few months, first loved it to death, then after a while it started getting really annoying.. plus, even though it left more free RAM than the Sense, it was also laggier. So, I disabled WM6.5 Start menu altogether (that alone cleaned up some 15 MB of RAM), replaced it with QuickMenu, reverted back to Sense but installed CHT2.0 on top of it, and it's been running like a champ ever since. Not to say custom ROMs aren't a great thing, but I had no need to flash - and I am no noob when it comes to reflashing my device. Good luck with TP2, as long as the hardware doesn't crap out, it's a very capable phone.

As with any device, you have fanbois and haters, but overall, I would say, more people love their touch pro 2. |
