I went to Best Buy and fondled one for about 20 minutes. I was pretty unimpressed with the overall look and feel of it. The slide out qwerty doesn't even pale in comparison to the TP2's in my opinion. The screen wasn't as AMOzing as I expected either. The 4" display didn't seem much bigger than the TP2's, especially in a world where 4.3" displays are roaming.

Now spec wise, it's obviously a superior phone to the TP2, but I'm still really happy with my TP2. I'm going to hold out for something with WP7 a dual core processor and a 4.3" display. (On Sprint, ha!) I can dream.

I'm going to guess that it didn't seem as big compared to the TP2 because it's the same relative aspect ratio as the TP2 screen, where most of the larger screens are all taller or wider (depending on how you're holding it) than what the TP2 and Galaxy S phones are.

Yea the size of the TP2 and Galaxy S are very similar. Galaxy S is a bit more thin, and obviously lighter.

TP2: 116 x 60 x 17mm Galaxy S: 122 x 64 x 10mm

The Galaxy S essentially just extended the screen onto the spot where TP2's slide zoom bar is located. Same resolution, but obviously AMOLED is a much more rich display, and it's capacitive. Other than that, the 1Ghz Snapdragon was the only thing I felt I was missing out on.

I would like to see WP7 - or actually WP7.5 ...

I'm waiting for the big-clock-that-ties-up-one-third-of-your-screen fad to go away...

Yeah... I'm glad Microsoft said no to HTC Sense.
It would have taken up much space and probably system resources.
I like it on my TP2 cuz everything is at reach. But that clock is a bit much.
I have to run all the crystal mods.

I use CHT and choose a text clock...

EDIT: correction - now not using any CHT clock. Using Battclock 3.1.0 so grid is 4 col x 5 rows.
