google goggles wont work on a TP2 because the cam on android isnt functioning...

so 1 of your 2 issues are non-existent really...

i still frequent the touch pro forums even though i havent had one in years. i love to come by here and sprinkle advice on the tp2 junkies. not to mention numerous other phones ive never even owned.
i still like winmo and feel i can come here and talk about it with whomever i like. and if android comes up, then so be it.

He is simply asking what some of the winmo guys who have gone on to android feel about certain phones. I swear every single one of these threads end up this way...

If it's financially feasible for you, I would say go for it. I loved my TP2 and had it tweaked to perfection. Next to the Epic though, the TP2 seems to run like molasses.

Hardware wise, some say the Epic feels cheap compared to the TP2 but that is only because it's lighter. I've found build quality to be on par if not superior with the Gorilla Glass. With that and the lighter weight, it should fare much better if accidentally dropped.

I do miss the lovely tilt screen on the TP2, but the trade off is the LED light on the Epic which to me is just as useful. Keyboard wise, I'd give the edge to the TP2, but the Epics is useful and Swype is a lot more responsive on the Epics screen than the TP2's.

Battery life definitely goes to the TP2, but on an avg day with fairly demanding use (movies, emulators, web browsing, texts, push email, etc) I get 12 hours (off the charger at 530am, low battery warning about 430pm) which is pretty satisfactory on a normal day.

HTC phones definitely aren't known for their spectacular cameras, the EPIC is a breath of fresh air. Colors pop in pictures, the camera is responsive, the flash definitely helps, and the cam opens and responds quickly with a TON of options.

I have played 1080p mkv files without any type of conversion on the EPIC and have been impressed with the results. Even with Coreplayer on the TP2, I got nowhere near the smooth playback that I'm seeing now.

Outside Super Amoled Screen is good when at full brightness. The only issue is it's reflectiveness in direct sun. It's still much better than my TP2 which washes out a lot more even at full brightness.

GPS (at least for me) has locked on at the same speed as the TP2 and in most cases faster. Sprint Navi and Google also work far better on the Epic when multitasking.
