These are the settings I have settled on:

CPU max 768
interval 950ms
steps 1
load max 30
load min 15
jump max 30
jump min 3

Idles at 384.
I changed from 2 to 1 step because I saw a slight lag when I first started tasks so now I get a faster response.
Im running mightyrom and these are working wonders!

Well, those were the settings I had. lol
I ended up changing the jump_min to 2, jump_max to 50, load_min to 10, load_max to 25, and # of steps 2.
But, if those settings work best for you then stick with those at least for a while. I'm glad OCT is working for you. Be sure to go over to the developers overclocking thread on xda and let him know your impressions.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

I've got my settings without SoD and SlackerRadio @

CPU max 748
interval 1000ms
steps 1
load max 15
load min 3
jump max 15
jump min 3

With these settings it'll stay @ 748 while the phone is under almost any kind of use and hopefully underclock to 374 for the rest. I'm running the 9/18 Energy Rom btw.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

These are my current settings on stock Sprint 6.5 with cleanup cab: 500 interval, 729.6, 1, 25, 10, 50, 2. I had it at 950 interval and 2 steps but had been reading over on xda about some people actually setting everything to 0 except for the mhz. I figure its probably a good idea to have at least 1 step so the spead can drop down a little when idle. I did see a slight speed improvement when I made the step change to 1 and the interval to 500, most notably was the weather animation on the today screen. It would always stutter and hesitate even when overclocked, but now it barely stutters.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

I got an interesting problem last night. I was heavily browsing online and the screen suddenly shut off. I pushed power buttons, and slid out the keyboard, nothing happened. So I had to take of the hard case to reset it, and it was hard to take that off. When I was struggling with the hard case, I slid the keyboard out again, and the phone waked up.
Some times the screen will blink also. I can't tell if these are from other or the OCT but I didn't notice these before I install OCT.
I'm using Stock 6.5. Now I'm at 729.6 steps8 load 3|10-45|50%. Too much steps I think, but this is the only way to bring down the lowest frequency.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

apparently nitrogen isn't the only player that causes sod'. I OC just fine w/o any sod unless i'm using s2p (purchased from marketplace v1.4) and it plays until device goes to sleep then whammo (every time). Also tried the s2p settings of power to keep the device "alive" same thing. Maybe this could provide a key to the puzzle of music playing sod's.

Yep sod.
Try lowering your cpu max setting and test some more. Maybe you can't run yours that fast. Also try reduceing the # of steps and increasing the interval and test some more. Sometimes it takes a while to find the sweet spot.

Try to keep your device from sleeping and use a screen off app like the one in the favorite cabs thread. You may need to reduce the # of steps so when your cpu speed drops it doesn't drop below around 250mhz.

Ok guys thought I would post my updated settings here. I have been testing and these settings have given me the best performance yet. Here's what I've got:

CPU max 768
interval 900ms
steps 2
load max 23
load min 8
jump max 50
jump min 2

Having fun with this great app!
