I tried to set and then turn the overclocking on/off, on/off, on/off using the GUI interface, but the settings won't stick.

Thanks in advance
Weird, I have never had any trouble.
Try uninstalling the oct app and waiting a min. Then soft reset and wait till everything has booted completely. Then use/run a tool like ClearTemp or MemMaid or something that helps clean up temp files and other files leftover in storage memory. Then re-install the oct app and wait a min and soft reset. Then after you're booted open the gui and try changeing settings and then hit Set. Then hit OC On and wait about 30sec. Then hit OC Off and exit gui. After a min soft reset and after you're booted re-enter gui and see if settings have stuck.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

Thanks alot. Is there a way to automatically enable oct after a soft reset? My settings are sticking, but the tool does not start automatically after a reboot. In other words, the cpu speed is 528 after reboot and I have to turn on the tool. Given that I reset the device daily b/c it's a windows mobile device, this would be good functionality to have.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

Just wondering- for those that switched to OCT v1.5 from other OC programs- are you actually finding that you can throttle higher speeds now?

I am using Vin's latest Neo-CHT ROM and tried some of the settings suggested here but still get lockups past 729Mhz- which has always been my limit.

I figure at this point it is more a function of my processor quality/build.

I asked the same question. You can copy the OCT_RUN.lnk in windows/start Menu/program/OverClockTool to windows/startup

Exactly!
Use File Explorer, Total Commander, Resco Explorer or a similar app to move the link.

Some cpus will only oc to a little over 600mhz. It just depends on your cpu.

Re: *OVERCLOCK* Specific OCT V1.5 Settings

GRRRR... Mine will only overclock to 748.8 and stay stable. If I hit 768, it freezes after 10 seconds. If I try 806.4, it instantly locks up.

Anywho, gonna see if my phone will stay stable at 748.8.

cpu_max: 748.8mhz
steps: 2
load_max: 25
load_min: 10
jump_max: 50
jump_min: 2
interval: 950ms

(thanks horndoc)

EDIT: Locked up while responding to a text at 748.8MHz... damn.

No problem Sam.
I just had to lower my speed back to 768 because it seems more stable. It's still very fast IMO.
You might try increasing the interval a little bit. That may help.
