Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio

And its still SLOW as hell even overclocked.. and it still gets the sleep of death unless you flash a different rom lol. Stop fooling yourself into thinking the tp2 is a better phone than the evo dude.. I think the only people in the world that believe that are on this tp2 forum. Development? Apps? Do people even develop for winmo anymore besides the folks here and xda? And who needs to run all of those OS on a phone.. and the android version that runs on winmo is gimped to hell and runs just as slow. Ill have to go with the evo sir. |

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
WoW...talk about getting side tracked on this thread. It went from replacing the Tp2 w/ th Imagio to which OS is better with evey other comment bashing eachother. I think that could be settled or talked about on different thread. everyone has a point and we are all here to learn. there is always someone that knows more then someone else.
i will say from what I have noticed on my time here @ PPC that Bored has a very dry sarcastic tone and could come across as a D*#ck, BUT he does know what he is talking about when he comments. If someone doesn't like how someone else is speaking then don't respond to that comment. That is how threads get hijacked and completely off track. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!!!!!! ![]() Thank you and have a great day! |

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
I feel ya on this. my pop liked the tp2 enough to want to get one. I'd had it less than a month. we go into the verizon store and they say they don't carry them anymore. kind of a rude awakening for me since I thought this was a top of the line new device. apparently it's already considered old. so he ends up with a droid x and when he calls with a technical question I never know the answer off the top of my head. I think tp2's got obsoleted too fast, it still does everything you could ask.
that being said, since getting swype installed I never open it up for the keyboard anyhow and I'd be perfectly happy to lose the keyboard in return for a lighter phone. |

@bdurst08
Good comment. I agree with you. No reason to get side tracked. I was about to respond to the android not being better than winmo but that's not what this thread is about. Too bad. I really wanted to continue the convo. If anyone starts a thread with that topic let me know. Anyway, back to the topic at hand.... Sent from my Evo using Tapatalk |

i am pretty sure there is one somewhere. I thought i have seen one. but I bet that as long as it was kept someone clean and people didnt talk to much shit. that it would stay alive for awhile.

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
FYI, I called Verizon last week to get a replacement TP2 before my 1-year warranty was up, and CS insisted that they didn't have any replacement TP2s. The only phone listed as "comparable" is the Imagio, which is a joke. However, Tech Support was able to sent me a refurb TP2, which looks like new to me. No battery, back cover, etc. though.
This is a regular warranty replacement I'm talking about -- I don't have the service plan. With sound working in Android on the TP2, I'll be keeping this phone for a long time! |
