Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
Just make sure you've got TEP insurance which can be added when you activate the phone through Sprint.

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
back on topic. I have Sprint and need to get my TP2 exchanged due to screen damage (it's still usable). I'm waiting for a week after the Epic comes out to make my claim with Assurion. I'll keep you guys posted if they let me end up upgrading. I'd even be willing to throw down money but I don't think they have a 'process' for that.

Remember I made the mistake of thinking the tp2 for verizon had the memory cut back like the tp1? Well verizon is at it again. The samsung s variant for verizon called the samsung fascinate is going to have only 512mb of internal memory compared to the average of 16384mb. Verizon has decided to cut back the memory on this phone also. I guess my mistake wasn't so bad after all. Hey maybe you should wait and get this over the imagio since it won't be too far in memory from the tp2. Last edited by yankees45us; 08-27-2010 at 12:32 PM. |

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
I went in to a VZW store yesterday and complained about my phone. It's been getting significantly slower over the past month than it ever had before. The duplicated it and agreed to replace it. Supposedly, I'm getting a replacement TP2 Monday, so Verizon still has them in stock to ship out, just not Asurion.

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
BTW between the daughter and I we dropped my TP2 in my Coke last night at dinner, and it was done for, called Asurion @ 930pm, today at 10am I had a new in the box TP2 delivered to my door.
Now I gotta figure out again what all I had tweaked, it was running so darn nice, haven't tweaked it for months.... |

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
I got my third TP2 about 3 weeks ago from Verizon due to the second one overheating with nothing running and on battery power only. The third one they sent sent me seems like a new unit (the keyboard keys don't stick, the phone stays shut and there is no play between the top and bottom pieces).

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
Asurion replaced my Verizon TP2 for a Drod 1. It was the only phone available with comparable specs and a comparable keyboard. I have been a HTC and WM user since the Apache days but hate to say that I am more than satisfied with the droid. The build quality seem better, the os runs smoother and doesnt require reboots, I can go a whole day on a single charge while even being overclocked to 1.2ghz, and there are many custom roms to keep me happy. The only downside is the keyboard does not come close to as easy to use as the TP2.

Re: asurion replacing TP2 with Imagio
I don't suppose Verizon would replace the TP2 with a Droid X, would they?
