I think I'm only responding because it looks like some people are so blinded by hate for the OP that they simply aren't willing to entertain that it does actually work (regardless of relevance), which is the kind of thinking I find very dangerous in this day and age.

Despite all the hate for the OP, it cuts reception on my TP2 consistently from 4-5 bars down to 2-3 bars. Takes about 10-20 seconds for the bars to change (it's not instant). And granted, as about 10 people have already said, nobody holds a phone that way - ever - so it's not a valid comparison.

I suppose kudos to the TP2 engineers who designed a phone that only suffers from hand/digit-caused reception problems when held in a completely preposterous manner (think "my preciousssssssss"). And this doesn't absolve Apple of their responsibility to include left-handed people in their product testing plans...

there is really no hate for the op, and besides, i know the op gets off on playing the bad guy lol. the jokes started coming after reasonable attempts were made to see if crapple had a point. they didn't. in order to replicate the antenna problem of iphone 4, you have to hold your phone in ways that you wouldn't anyway, so starting this thread didn't really make a point. as for the op, !

OP is right! (IMHO) In my case. Anyone that knows me knows I love my TP2!! (CDMA & GSM on same phone? try that EVO...)

But, I get massive drop... I'm right handed but hold phone in left to talk...
Went to field trial, didn't have as much drop in dbm there.. set to 1sec refresh.. will test some more.

At least this made me think... if I've got poor reception on a call, I can hold phone diff..

All phones do it, known issue, just didn't realize how much before.

re. OP: aggravating yes.. but don't waste 2 much time on him.. he's just a kid with the biggest phone in school (that dad bought)...

You don't need to hold the TP2 with both hands all over the back to have a severe affect on the signal strength. You simply need to hold it near the top under the camera area. As pointed out in the manual... But I guess I'm the only person who ever read that lol.

Tak off you back cover. see that black sticker that runs above the camera? thats the antenna. it has the antenna wire/traces in it. placing your hand over it on mine has no effect on my signal. but i took some tinfoil from my pack of smokes and covered it and it drops to nearly no service from 4 bars.
