After a soft reset and once sense was loaded, it would be around 55-57% usage.
55-57% after a soft reset is too much, on stock 6.1 i boot in the upper 30s and even on the lead roms i used (6.5.21916) i booted in the 40s this is without CHT but after a couple of days without SR the lead rom did go into the 70s with no programs running (takes stock 6.1 almost a week to reach the 70s) when i had stock 6.5 and CHT i booted in the mid to upper 60s and went to the 90s before the end of the day and this was when i had the optimization options set.

Wirelessly posted (The Most EPIC ppc.: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2.1; en-us; SPH-D700 Build/FROYO) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Memory is there to be used. My tp2 functioned great even with 75 percent usage. The whole point of a smartphone isn't to spendx the entire time making sure you have fre ram and low cpu usage. Use the damn thing.

Re: Leading zero

it may be there to be used but id rather it be used by things that im running. not by invisible things if the ram usage is in the mid 70s or higher with nothing running theres a problem,if it boots in the upper 50s to low 60s theres a problem, i like to multitask and with that much RAM being used for nothing it just isnt possible. I've tried this before i usually run OzIM,IE or opera ,FIM and now MS Facebook (in intervals) and sometimes wmp all at the same time. if the RAM creeps past the mid 80s 1 or more of these programs close out which is a problem cuz ull have to reconnect or navigate back to the page u were looking at or even worse restart the song u were listening to (i've never had this one happen yet tho) so yea.

Re: Leading zero

Wow... I'm glad you've given all of us your opinion Eric, you seem to enjoy doing that around the site, even if you don't have anything productive to say. Not looking to start an argument, but man o man you seem to enjoy giving out your opinion and arguing with people about why you're right and they're wrong. This thread wasn't about RAM usage, it was about a leading zero and even though I'm not a tech guru and wasn't in the military, I understood what he meant and didn't even need to post a snotty response. Lighten up a little...

Re: Leading zero

all i was saying is it really wouldnt be wise to sacrifice all that RAM just to see 05:20 and i was sharing my experience when i had CHT installed (which is the easiest way to activate that feature)

pay eric12341 aka "the forum dunce" no attention at all... =) most of his posts are useless lol smh. why dont u try configuring cht so it runs smoothly on tp2 instead of telling people not to use it simply because you dont like it or cant set it up properly? if its such a ram guzzler im sure it wouldnt be cooked in most custom roms now would it...

eric why didnt you tell him to flash 6.1? =)

@ op, install cookie's home tab 2.0, it will solve your problem. if you need help customizing cht or anything else feel free to pm me.

Re: Leading zero

useless posts? is that why my rep is in the 700s, if my posts were useless it wouldnt be even this high. i did have it set properly, its cooked in custom roms because there are some people who dont know how/dont like to install cabs and also who like having more shortcuts to apps than can be installed.

So what if you have 143 thanks. If every thanks was for a separate post, only 13.4% of your posts were useful (even less if the same post was thanked more than once). This is all assuming you buy into the 'rep' meaning anything .

Re: Leading zero

its just fun bashing CHT. once he installs it and sees what happens to his RAM he'll reconsider, of course this is assuming if he does any kind of multi tasking.
