Whats up with everyone hating the Touch Pro 2 all of a sudden?

I feel the TP2 is a more reliable and stable device vs the HD2. My friends with the HD2 keep complaining they have to pull out there battery at least once a day. Then I look at my TP2 and cant remember the last time I had to do that.

yea, my hd2 came out the box defective and wouldn't boot

This is the best wm phone I've ever had. Best KB also on any phone imo.
My only issue is that over time I grew tired of the bulk of the device itself. I actually switched to a BOLD 9650 and really like that functionality and reduced weight. My TP2 shall remain with me as a pinch hitter tho. It's wifi while traveling will be very convenient at times. My BB will be my main driver tho.

I have a TP2 and I've never wanted another phone. Actually, up until my TP2, I used to drop by Verizon's store and check online occasionally for upcoming devices. Now I don't do any of that lol.

With the newest Mightyrom, I haven't even had to deal with the lag of windows. I know I've been talking about Mighty's rom a lot, but hey... it's true; the rom is that fast for me.

I won't be getting a new phone until a WP7 device with an AWESOME keyboard comes out.

I think there's hate/anger because the touch pro2 is quite slow compared to current smartphones on ANY platform, which is weird because it's still a fairly new device in my book. Everything now also has a capacitive display.

I still have one, but i also have an EVO. I use my tp2 on another line and need it for specific reasons... The EVO's speed and capacitive screen are making the experience with the tp2 almost unbearable to be honest. TP2 seems slower than before and screen seems unresponsive when before I felt like it was the most responsive screen i've ever used.

It's strange because a few months ago I was perfectly fine with the speed and resistive screen... If only the tp2 had a 1ghz processor and capacitive screen now...

The phone itself is part of the problem (insufficient hardware) as well as the flaky OS that struggles to cover up the shortcomings of the hardware but instead dead ends in a flawed experience favoring fluff over function (tell me the Sense clock doesn't make the home screen crawl).

I bought an iPod Touch 3rd gen last weekend because I needed a new iPod and wanted to see what the Apple OS was like (TP2 will die before sunset if I play more than a few songs during the day). I work in IT and have until now avoided major contact, aside from configuring ActiveSync for end users. After using WinMo phones for 4 years, I see what a joke the interface has become. I really want to throw my TP2 against a wall every time I have to wait for an SMS message or photograph to paint itself (inevitably misaligned) on the screen.

I think most people knew that the TP2 would not have very long in the limelight after its release last year. It has nothing left going for it; WinMo applications for popular services are barely supported if they even exist and the masses are moving onto modern platforms where applicable. I do love the keyboard, and the $30/mo SERO, but every day that goes by I become a little more comfortable with sacrificing those features for a device that doesn't eat itself alive when an MMS comes down the pipe.

meh, dont really care for the capacitive screen. It's nice and all, but how would it handle taking notes? One of my favorite programs is taking actual notes with the notes program. I think the TP2 just needs a faster processor. I guess it's a little slow.

bing took 9 seconds

so yeah, it's laggy at times, but it's still a solid phone. I'm happy with it, because I'm not bothered by other's having cooler phones than me. I still consider this device a very functional one. It's like a Pentium P4. shit aint pretty, but gets the job done.

I still love my TP2 because its deff the best windows phone so far (in my opinion) because Im still on my first one LOL.

I have an evo coming but this phone isnt going anywhere its gonna be my backup.
